TG131NT1

TRUGLO’s TFO sights are the Certs of the target acquisition world. They combine the always-on reliability of Tritium with the visibility of fiber optics. And while we don’t think they’ve managed to incorporate the minty freshness of Retsin into their manufacturing process yet, TRUGLO’s just announced that they’re now out with low-slung Novak TFOs for your 1911. Press release after the jump . . .

TRUGLO® Inc., manufacturer of the world’s most advanced line of fiber-optic sights and accessories for the shooting sports industry introduces its NEW! 1911 MODELS for the BRITE-SITE™ TFO® (Tritium/Fiber-Optic) family of handgun sights. The new 1911BRITE-SITE™ TFO® handgun sight models include Novak® Lo-Mount cut sights for the 5” Government in .45ACP, 9mm/.40 S&W, as well as the 3” Officers and 4.25” Commander models in .45ACP, 9mm/.40 S&W. These new sights offer revolutionary innovation with TRUGLO’s patented combination of TFO® (Tritium and Fiber-Optic) technology delivering an enhanced sight picture 24/7. Rapid target acquisition is achieved with TFO® technology by utilizing existing ambient light to illuminate the sight picture during bright lighting conditions and then utilizing the tritium component to illuminate the fiber-optic during low light or no light conditions. The patented TFO® technology offers an uninterrupted, consistent sight picture for the shooter when other sight systems fall short.

The low profile sight housings are constructed from CNC-machined steel. The technical design protects the fiber while concealing its view from the target. The TFO® sights fit in standard holsters and are designed to be snag-resistant and dependable. Each set is available in a green front sight /green rear sight combination or a green front sight / yellow rear sight combination.

  1. Truglos suck. My glock 26 is only 3 yrs old and the front sight failed after a yr. Get trijicons and call it a day

  2. My trijions failed in 3 yrs, guess I’ll just paint mine from here on out. I guess I could go laser?

    • Well that might work better then what you have now. All you really need to replace on those are the batteries. 🙂

    • trijicon has a 12 yr warranty. send them the slide. . . . what was the date code? I will buy “old” ones (say 2011 vs 2014) b/c the savings are huge and for $50, trijicon will re-lamp them when they give up the ghost years later. Bought several old guns and the prior owners didn’t know their night sights could be re-lamped so cheap.

  3. I love my 24/7 big dot. Bought a Charles Daly HP copy made by IMI it came std. on them. Changed my world for sight shooting. Paid $300 guy traded me a sig 226. Wish I had the Daly back. He went out of business 2months after trade. If anyone in SC has one to trade/sell LMK. Great gun for the bucks.

  4. I have TFO’s on my G30 and so far love them. I’ve had them on a about a year now w/o any problems.
