I’ll stick with my Alien Gear. I have found precious few nylon holsters that are worth a damn. Only one, actually. And only after some major modifications that included a needle, artificial sinew, a slab of leather, and a lot of time.
A holster that the maker claims is “all things to all people” is likely to be all fail.

forgive me ignorance but would this holster be the nylon equivalent of a crossbreed or alien gear?
due to religious reasons, i generally don’t wear leather. it’s always nice knowing that there’s an alternative.
Given my experience with Uncle Mike’s calling it equivalent to those brands would be an overstatement. They’re generally solid, but far from the best. Take a look at Remora and Stealthgear. The Stealthgear was reviewed here a while back.

Sorry, I haven’t tried the “sticky” holster. Sounds like a good idea, but it also sounds like it requires a certain body type that I ain’t got….

Clips look a bit…flimsy.
Great idea, I’m a lefty and carry SOB, cross draw and strong side. Having several pistols for carry and caliber, this idea cuts all the damn holsters I am required to buy. Thx for the info. I am going to check this out. Watch your back all.
I recognize my shield, but as we know “Jack of all trades, master of none”. Does that apply here?
My Comp-tac Infidel works great at 4:00 but drifts toward 6:00. If my jeans had a belt loop at 4:00 the holster has a feature to straddle it and hold it in place.
Any body have the UM? Love to hear an opinion of a user.
I don’t get why people hate on Uncle Mike’s stuff. I have a couple of their holsters that have held up really well over the years.
As for the clip, it’s adjustable, and not flimsy at all. Looks to be the same one that I have on a couple of their OWB holsters.
Uncle Mike’s are “good enough” holsters in my opinion. They’re just good enough to let you conceal/open carry your newly bought pistol, but if you want something that actually conceals well or has proper retention that doen’t flop around on your belt then get something else. Hell….Don Hume’s leather holsters almost priced the same but are miles better than Uncle Mike’s.
Upon closer examination, no kydex, so no snap in retension? Thus needing the strap over the top?
I would have to lose that strap.
Take the stupid retention strap off of that holster and it becomes amazingly thin such that your handgun pretty much disappears against your body. Remember, your pants and belt are pulling that firearm and holster in tight against your body so it doesn’t show unless you are wearing a tight shirt or sweater.

And I remembered I do have another Uncle Mike’s holster–a pocket holster for a little .380. I’ve never had any real problems with their products. At least for what I use them for.
Had not so hot experiences with an uncle miles holster last year, that rubberish retention strap with the snap on the end is a POS.

The one uncle mike’s holster I played with for my XDm was a pile of shit. The thumbbreak was too flexible and would bend without unsnapping as often as it would work properly. The holster was bulky, adjustments annoying to do, and the grip it kept on the belt was uninspiring.
Passing on them from now on. Much happier with my Crossbreed, SHTF Gear, and IMI Defense options that I use now.
Remoras. Have 7. They work
I’d be willing to give that a try. I’m still using a $20 nylon IWB that’s proven better than the more expensive stuff I’ve tried.
I can see this being of particular interest for those that carry off-the-beaten-path semis. Took a while for me to find an IWB for my Arcus. I wonder how the retention is withoit that top strap, how it handles sweat, etc.
I had an Uncle Mikes IWB nylon holster for my Glock 19 a few years ago, I actually really liked it, the only issue was I started wearing an SOE riggers belt all the time and the clip wasn’t long enough to accommodate the wide belt. Gave it to a friend and its all he uses.
Uncle Mikes is worth it for the money, and they don’t have 8 month lead times to my knowledge.
I’ve worn Uncle Mike’s ankle holsters for 20 years for Kel-Tec P-11, Taurus Slim, Kel-Tec P3AT. Eight hours a day comfortable. Never spotted. 3 holsters. One was smaller for the .380.
Not confident I could get a good firing grip on the gun to bring it out of the holster.
Looks more like a $10 gun show piece of (poop).

All uncle mikes I have had were garbage. Worn out and broke within half a year. IWB I use now is the comp-tac infidel. Best one I’ve ever had and over a year of use already. Friend of mine has had his for over two years with no problems.
I have several Uncle Mikes holsters but they are for guns in drawers and glove boxes. I don’t like using UM for carry. I’m slowly replacing my UM holsters with Remora. Seems to me like this holster would be great for a person who just decided to carry and can get one single holster that affords them enough configuration adjustments that they can learn where on their body they want to carry. It cost me a lot of money to learn that being a right handed shooter I feel more comfortable drawing from a left handed IWB holster at my 4-5 o’clock position. Old injuries and getting older suck!
I wonder if the clips are metal, or plastic ?
