UPDATE: According to a report from News 12 Westchester, the situation has “ended peacefully.” It’s not clear if he’s been taken into custody.

Police say that man is not expected to face any charges from the standoff.

We’ve been watching something that’s been playing out online as an Instagrammer, wiskey_warrior_556, has apparently been dealing with a situation involving police outside his home in Mahopac, New York.

The IG-er has been posting video through the day on his Instagram account. Click here to go to his Instagram account, then click the circular avatar to view the video.

It’s not clear whether the action is a red flag confiscation order or a possible SAFE Act enforcement situation over a 30-round magazine that’s mentioned in the video.

A local reporter has posted the following on her Facebook page.

Again, it’s difficult to determine exactly what’s going on here from what he’s posted.

A local TV station has put up this report . . .

        • Can you imagine what sort of twisted thing you need to be to think you need to have (let alone have a right to have in civilized society) the capacity to commit mass murder.

          • Sorry dude but your the one who’s twisted. First, society is not civilized. It’s full of criminals of all kinds and all too many are willing to use deadly force to get what you have. Clearly your white privilege is showing. Second, there’s a reason for the 2nd Amendment. Ask the folks in Venezuela if they wish they hadn’t willingly surrendered their weapons. Your short sited view does not account for the real and present danger of the aggressive would be tyrants already in government and the long term implications of your actions.
Also, I ask you, who are the villains/twisted/sick people here, those who would label their fellow Americans who have done nothing wrong felons, even terrorists so they can kill them with the “law” on their side, or those who are willing to fight and die for the freedoms that make this country one of a kind and the most sought after place to live in the world? When the 2nd amendment dies, freedom in this country and the great experiment our the founders started die with it.
Finally, simply having something that is capable of mass murder, like a car, truck, fertilizer, pipe, knife, pressure cooker, etc. does not mean one would use it for that. Wake up please, before it’s too late!

        • Re-read my post, noting the quotation marks. I was referring to Mike’s statement, showing how asinine it is to think talking about 30rd mags anywhere somehow justifies having one’s guns taken and rights violated. The whole “He broke the (unconstitutional) law and deserves it” or “As long as it’s legal” mentality is the slippery slope that has led to tolerating these bullshit laws.

    • He wasn’t bragging about his stuff online. Another vet blue falconed him and the cops threatened his wife with CPS.

  1. Well if the cops have you surrounded your only decision at that point is to decide how many charges you want added before they arrest you. Or you could choose that blaze of glory route. Just give up and fight another day.

        • Time:

Very true. But then I don’t think the Founders would have looked at a situation like this and anonymously suggested violence. If they were to suggest violence was the answer it would have been publicly and in their own name.

        • @tim Duffy, we don’t live in the days where we can take a few shots and poof into the bush. This is the surveillance age and unconventional warfare requires different approaches.

      • Freedom isnt free, but rather the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of tyrants and heroes.

I’m beginning to think its about time for a watering.

        • I’d love to stick it to the tyrants, but I’m not a hero. Just one of the millions of people this system is going to grind down until there’s nothing left of us.

        • Why is it you kooks only say that when your 30 round magazines and military style weaponry are democratically legislated away by the governed?

Damn. Even ultra conservative Scalia said these were reasonable restrictions.

      • He didn’t want to fight. He said so himself. He wanted a peaceful resolution. If someone is asking me for a peaceful solution I’m not going to hand him an AR and say start shooting the Oathbreakers to feed the grass. That’s the complete opposite of what he wanted.

        • He was smart enough to IG the event. The wide publicity was what likely kept the cops in a more gentle mode instead of SWATing him dead, as has happened many times before.

I hope this becomes a trend. I’ve mentioned in the past that public sentiment may truly begin to turn favorably toward 2A gun owners once videos showing LE driving nails with steamrollers as they infringe on the very rights of the citizens they’ve sworn to protect.

        • Threaten law enforcement with a firearm, you should expect and deserve to die.

Of course you likely think otherwise, unless someone is unarmed and threatening law enforcement by being black. How DARE anyone (let alone a black athlete) kneel during the anthem over such things. It’s not like anyone us trying to take away an AR.

    • “Just give up and fight another day.”

Continue waiting, while letting them encroach further and further on our rights, and there won’t be another chance to fight back.

      • I just didn’t want the dude to die. What purpose would that serve? The last guy who died in a red flag scenario didn’t change the world or get any laws changed. If he had died we would be saying it was a tragedy now. He’s still alive so he can fight them in court.

        • That’s not a viable option either. Unless he’s a multimillionaire with powerful connections — which we know he isn’t because the jackboots wouldn’t have come after him in the first place — there’s no winning.

How do you want to lose, and what happens to your family when you do? Those are the only questions you get to answer if they come after you.

        • Heller Vs DC and Young vs Hawaii were ordinary citizens who sued the government. Even Tim from the Military Arms Channel Youtube channel has a case in court fighting bump stock bans. I agree you do need money and in those cases they had the support of gun rights organizations but a dead man can’t fight in court. A poor man can still fight with a little help from his friends.

        • “Unless he’s a multimillionaire with powerful connections…”

True but his legal case could be crowdfunded.

        • @neiowa,

I nominate TTAG as the platform. I would gladly set aside $10 per month to pledge to certain local-level 2A cases if provided a list to select from.

        • neiowa:

The same places people crowdfund other legal (mis)adventures or create new ones.

Or you could go old school and… write checks.

    • The right response is for his law abiding neighbors to arm themselves and go let the
Police know that they represent the “well regulated militia.”

  2. “Read coats”? And turn off the internet? Yeah, sure.

Here’s some help for your peaceful resolution: put your weapons down, walk out, and get yourself back in school.

    • You are telling a veteran to give up his property/guns to the occupying force?

Millennial vets don’t like fake ass wannabes who joined law enforcement because they wouldn’t join the military and risk their lives fighting real threats.

The cops show up in their armor vehicles ready to murder because a veteran doesn’t want to give up his human rights in America? Where is that notion that police won’t ever confiscate Americans’ weapons?

“Take the firearms first, and then go to court.” –Rich New Yorker

      • WHAT “real threats” are you fighting?!? WTF makes us safer? Killing muslims in Afghanistan? Duh…

        • Tbh, there really isn’t anyone aside from Russia and China that can be considered even remotely a threat to our liberty. Islam is simple enough, secure the borders and forbid anyone from an islamic country from coming here.

          -A retired 0311.

        • Water walker you have no room to talk. I’ve seen enough of your posts to know your a liberal troll like the rest of them.

  3. In the middle of a separation, clearly drunk, domestic violence involved, dude needs to drop this shit and come out and get some help. I don’t like red flag laws either but he clearly has problems and the solution isn’t summoning a bunch of fat autistic threepers to shoot at the cops for him.

    • No I’m not an authoritarian or a cop. He didn’t want to fight. He asked for help and said he wanted a peaceful resolution. In my opinion giving up would be his best option to achieve the peaceful resolution he was asking for. He didn’t ask for the best plan to become a martyr.

  4. Curious to see what was up. I mean usually you end up with 2 scenarios, the police just kick in the door and kick your ass or they knock and go “police warrant blah blah blah” and tell you what’s up. They don’t usually just chill around a place eating S’mores and drinking hot chocolate.

Right now it seems like there’s mass shooting levels of random information floating around. This is even Trending on twitter which means shit’s going hard. That’s really disturbing in its own right considering the temperature in the country right now and the amount of people who seem eager for civil war.

    • They say he gave up once he got it in writing that he won’t be charged.

It was reported that his wife reported him to the government and his “buddy” said he is the type of guy to fight the government. So they went to his house to take him into custody because he is “mentally ill” and needs help.

They will probably take all his guns, mags and ammo. If they find anything “illegal” they will charge him although they said they wouldn’t. Then they will label him crazy so he can never own guns again.

      • You see, I heard that his neighbor said he had a pmag and was unstable etc. Like I said, lots of info of arguable quality.

      • Any agreement you get in that situation isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. Too much duress. But the situation ended with him being unhurt and, supposedly, not in cuffs. If he is later charged and afforded counsel and due process I’d say the situation resolved about as well as it could for him.

  5. Until we can get first hand accounts I say nothing is over. They know people are headed there they want them to turn around. They started jamming his cell and internet early on. I say wait and see.
People are still listening to scanners but most operations have shifted to tac channels.

  6. I followed this incident threough his IG account and others receiving constant updates. Take everything with a grain of salt and withold final judgment for a few day’s until facts are certain.

It appears his guns at home were confiscated while he was at work. A “friend” of his told the cops he had illegal 30 round mags and had PTSD. He posted several videos of himself in full battle rattle except he mad it clear he had no guns or mags on him. He posted that he was in communication with a negotiator and didn’t want blood but wanted something in writing guarenteeing he wouldn’t go to jail.

A group of supporters rallied at a nearby cemetery after he put his address out asking for support. Unofficial reports of a swat raid at the cemetery say arrests were made there.

As of now it appears he is “free” with no pending charges. If that’s the case it makes you question why the cops were there in the first place. They don’t just let you go because people support you.

There was also another unrelated incident in the area involving possible domestic violence and a hostage situation. People were putting out mixed reports involving the two incidents.

    • I don’t think the Instagram account of an attention-seeking mentally ill man in the midst of a breakdown is a reliable source.

No actual reporting of red flag orders, or guns, or magazines. The police responded to a domestic violence call and he slammed the door on them and created the barricade situation, then took to the internet where a bunch of mouth-breathers started egging him on and enabling his mental illness. Nothing he ranted about is credible or should be taken as facts.

Dumb people on the internet wanted their precious boogaloo narrative and were willing to do anything or believe anything to support it.

      • Ark, you dumb ass fascist, there was no DV call. Cops showed up while he was at work, threatened wife that they would take her children if she didn’t let them in to search. What about this sounds legal to you, and how do you figure DV to be involved when the guy wasn’t home. It’s people like you who will most likely go first during the purge, dude. Your mom will let them in and lead them to the basement where you hideout. She’s has wanted you gone for years. Get a clue Milly.

        • I know this is unrelated to what’s going on here, but if that avatar is an actual picture of you, please remove it…. it’s disturbing…

        • None of those are facts. The guy was lying because he thought the internet would save him from the consequences of his domestic violence. I’m sorry you were dumb enough to fall for it and now feel the need to defend your bad assumptions.

    • You too, Geoff? I’ve had several of my comments disappear soon after they were posted, going on for several weeks now. Happened to JWM, too, and I think Guesty a while back.

Dan said he saw nothing on the admin end, but the site’s acting screwy.

  7. They have been doing red flag gun confiscation for a while now, best option hide half your shit off location/secret storage, give them other half and fight it out in court. else, and only if you have something heavy enough to punch through light armor take out as many as you can! any officer who attempts to confiscate guns is a commie and should be shot

  8. listen to these media people it shows you how stupid people are on the media today especially the news 12 person who’s probably was playing Barbie dolls 10 years ago they’re called reporters they’re not anything less than idiots who are giving jobs in front of a camera for low wages. They have no clue what life is about what reality is going on right now. I think the police handle this horribly my nephew as a policeman in May attack. I could tell you stories about police corruption in New York not my nephew but other police corruption. I don’t know what was going on there but the neighbors are whiny people who want the government to handle situations for them? Meanwhile have any mafia people live in mahopac? How many phony-baloney cops are there? Who moved from the city to mahopac? this sounds very fishy and I think the story of the police made up his totally false. The guy has a right to say whatever he wants to say online this is another example of left-wing New York trying to use their fascist methods to control people. But New Yorkers are so corrupt that they don’t care or they just don’t get it because they keep electing the same corrupt people over and over again. Glad nobody was hurt on either side

  9. Gun owners need to band together. Built your own No Go Zones like the MUSLIMS do. Be connected. When one gets harassed, ALL MUST COME to intervene. If you have the numbers, they tyrants leave you alone. Build those networks NOW before you won’t be allowed to.

    • “Be connected. When one gets harassed, ALL MUST COME to intervene.”

That’s not gonna work very well if your ISP and phone provider do what the court order tells them what they will do and lock your accounts and phone service.

There you will be, JBTs, all decked out in their glory stacked up outside your home and you can’t call for help…

        • Might I suggest citizens band, on 11 menters there are many more transceivers and operators, you can get lost in the anonymity.

Just remember, the FCC has very sophisticated RDF assets.

        • GS650G,

Old school Citizen’s Band, Amateur Radio, and Family Radio Service will work for a while until state or federal law enforcement realizes that organized groups are using old school radio for advanced, organized opposition. Then state and/or federal law enforcement will bring in wide-band noise generators and make old school radio frequencies almost entirely unusable during government law enforcement operations.

Thus, during a “hot” engagement, resistance fighters would not be able to count on old school wireless communications. Their communication and coordination has to occur LONG before any engagements, or communication has to occur in ways that state and federal law enforcement would never be able to discern and jam, filter, and/or censor.

        • Miner49er,

Yes, the FCC has sophisticated radio direction finding tools.

Note that those tools are useless if their target only transmits for one or two minutes, stops transmitting the next several minutes, and moves a few miles before repeating the cycle.

    • “No Go Zones like the MUSLIMS”

Would you please provide some info on the location of these ‘no go zones’ you speak of, a citation with a map would be especially helpful or even just directions and a description.

  10. When full on bans at the federal level are put in by president Ocasio Cortez 10 years from now we’ll see how the apparatus operates. Meanwhile don’t make it easy on them and be a single problem. Wait until they have millions of problems.

    • I really wish what you say was true, but America is full of yellow bellied losers…. even the military is full of queers and other “non- desirables”.
The millennials and boomers are the worst kind of human….. lazy and entitled, these people LITERALLY can’t change a lightbulb in their homes…. trust me, I’m in their houses daily working….
America as a country of hard working, honest people has long passed… the greatest generation is almost completely gone..
Just take a look at the “diversity”in government…. it isn’t hard to see what’s happening…
Rural whites are the ones with the most guns, the cities are infiltrated with human cockroaches who are now running the government thanks to “diversity”…
These red flag laws are enacted by said cockroaches to disarm said rural folk, so it’ll be easier to enslave them to the will of the liberal city cockroaches….
It would literally take a miracle of divine intervention to save this country…. and with a government who works out of a “pentagram/ Pentagon, we won’t be getting any help from the divine either…

      • It is very unfortunate that you know about the pentagram in Washington DC, measures will be taken to secure the security breach.

Ever since the daemonic forces were imprisoned in the sixth sub-basement under the center of the Pentagon, America has been on a path of corruption and destruction.

The terrorist strike on the Pentagon was an attempt to breach the sacred pentagram and loose the demonic forces in the heart of America, but that attempt was unsuccessful.

Many people are saying that the next attack will be launched from cosmic pizza, the liquid fusion thorium bomb is being constructed in the basement of the pizzeria, using the large ovens to create the Transuranic elements needed for the quantum fusion reaction.

Stay tune for further updates, even now Q is on the scene developing a new narrative for media propagation on Fox news.

        • Cobalt Thorium G. THAT’s what you need to build a proper Doomsday Device.

Nothing else will permanently contaminate our precious bodily fluids

  11. Booth was subsequently arrested on a felony warrant was issued stemming from the previous domestic incident.

Booth was charged with the following:

    second-degree burglary a Class C felony;
    criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor;
    second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor;
    second-degree aggravated harassment, a Class A misdemeanor;
petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.

He was arraignment in Carmel Town Justice Court.

“At the conclusion of this incident, no weapons or ammunition feeding devices were found or seized, despite numerous false social media posts to the contrary,” Cazzari said.

    https://dailyvoice.com/new-york/lewisboro/police-fire/domestic-incident-leads-to-seven-hour-standoff-in-area/779710/?utm_source=breaking-email-news-alert&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=breaking-lewisboro-58379

  12. My questions on the big spectacle:

If this was not a domestic incident, then where is the wife in all of this? One would think if he was falsely accused, she would be trying to give an interview with the media to profess his innocence. Of course the media would have to be willing to do that but I would think the media, being the ghouls they are, would love to get the guys wife on camera crying about how her husband is innocent.

The police said they heard a gunshot and then decided to call in backup. If there were no guns, ammo, or magazines at the residence then who shot? Or did nobody shoot and they lied to get the ball rolling on the big spectacle?

Why did the cops decide to roll in heavy like they were in Fallujah, rather than get him at a traffic stop coming home from work? He will violate at least one law on the way home from work they can pull him over for. I still can’t fathom how stupid it is to let someone go home and barricade themselves in their home with access to all kinds of things, then surround the place and make a huge spectacle. Oh wait, I answered my question, they wanted the huge spectacle to let everyone know how they will enforce unconstitutional laws on the populace.

Is there any video of people at the rally point being arrested yet? I still haven’t seen confirmation of anything. If they were arrested, then that sounds like some potential lawsuits for deprivation of the right to assemble. Nothing in the constitution says you can’t muster an armed force, and if there is a state law that bans it and bans open carry, then that is a violation of the 1A and 2A. When did it become illegal to protest a police action?

If the police sent all of this to someones house over a 30 round magazine, then they overreacted and this is a gross abuse of power. More of this is coming to a state near you.

    • I agree to some extent but I’m a boomer and my daughter is a millennial. My father instilled his work ethic in me and I have instilled it in my daughter. Basically, it’s 8 hours work for 8 hours pay. Show up on time and always show up unless you’re in the hospital or a coffin. Always take pride in your work and if you can’t then quit and do something else. Family is everything and in the grand scheme, nothing else matters.

It’s a pretty simple philosophy that’s earned me respect and a more than adequate salary for not the brightest bulb on the planet (though I can change my own! LOL).

So, bottom line, stop stereo typing. I’m sure there are others with a similar ethic.

  13. Guys I live in Mahopac, close to where this happened yesterday and I have talked to LE involved in this incident. First off the guy in question DID NOT POSSESS ANY FIREARMS.
He did not have any ammo either. The local police responded to a domestic dispute call. It was NOT a Red Flag or SAFE Act situation. The guy barricaded himself in his home. The SWAT team was called in because the police did not know if he was armed or not. There were no shots fired. The LE talked him out of the house after about 7 hours. The guy is suffering from some mental health issues.

    • No, wait, shut up! You’re ruining the narrative! This is all about an unconstitutional red flag seizure by tyrannical jackbooted thugs!
Come on, get with the program!

Clearly it’s a fraudulent domestic violence situation, in the midst of a divorce and his wife made a false report about guns and ammo, authorizing the ZOG to kick his door down and take his rights at gunpoint!

Many people are saying that protesters are gathering in a nearby cemetery, as the most logical rallying point for resistance against the one world government.

Q will be making a press statement later today, detailing the civil rights abuses by the evil swat team members as they trample the rights of a once free American citizen.

    • Is the domestic incident confirmed? I notice they don’t use the word violence in there which makes me wonder what the deal is?

  14. I having a hard time deciding who is mentally I’ll. The guy in the stand off or the idiots here commenting on the situation.
Lots of red flags flying after reading these comments.

    • And?…. take your carefree attitude somewhere else, HOMEBOY!…(emphasis on BOY).
I’ve seen NOT ONE OF YOUR RED FKN FLAGS anywhere in the comments…. except maybe YOURS!…. YOU HAVE RED FLAGGED YOURSELF!

  15. The interesting part, to me, is if this is over a 30 round mag, think of what they will do when ARs are illegal!

  16. A sad situation that shouldn’t have occurred. As far as the bravado “Molon Labe” comments, none of us really knows how we’d react in a similar situation. Yes, it sounds Tacticool to say I’ll go out in a pile of empty brass, but really that’s just arm chair quarterbacking.

  17. I have a sneaking suspicion he got off easy because the nation’s gun owners and his social media follower’s were watching. The police don’t want to cause a reaction that may have lead to riots or mass criticism of red flag laws. Especially if he became a martyr during this event.

They rather confiscate and arrest gun owners in secrecy to avoid backlash and to keep the masses ignorant to what is happening.

What is more disturbing is their use of military APC’s, electronic jamming devices, interference with online accounts, censoring of news outlets from covering this event.
All for one american citizen; not a terrorist, not a enemy army, a U.S citizen.

Is this a litmus test for things to come in America?

Remember the police is not your friend.
They don’t bite the hand that feeds them so well.

    • Well, this isn’t exactly what I’d call getting off easy:
      “second-degree burglary a Class C felony;
      criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor;
      second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor;
      second-degree aggravated harassment, a Class A misdemeanor;
petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor”

If convicted he’ll never be allowed to legally own another firearm. He sounds like someone who needs help but probably not the kind that comes with conviction, imprisonment, and permanent loss of rights. As a vet I’m biased so take it with a grain of salt.

  18. The online antics from all the sniveling Threeper/Sovereign Citizen LARPers lying about this being a red flag event, lying about shots being fired, lying about 50-100 armed militia men confronting police in a cemetery, all while making general t wats of themselves show why one needs to obtain facts first before acting like tough guy on social media.
Team 2A has collective egg on our faces thanks to this debacle.

    • Most of the older folks have been conditioned to be subservient to the state, and have traded away the younger generations Liberty for false government security.

Most older folks don’t understand that the 2nd is like a tie in baseball, where the use of force goes to the Citizen, over the government employee.

  19. The official statement is that this was a warrant unconnected with firearms, that no firearms were found, and no firearms charges were filed.

Meanwhile this attention whore added 140,000 followers to his instagram and started a go fund me.

  20. Are you in ACU’s and a flak!?!?!???? You’re sending a goddamn image you’re about to have a fun fight with SWAT you fucking moron..

  21. Something smells a lot like a cattle pen, with that list of charges. Theft doesn’t say what was stolen. As I read the list nothing warrants more than two detectives knocking on the front door with a warrant.
A lot more going on here, me thinks.

  22. Time for the next American revolution to start, the government doesn’t want the people to be able to stand up to their ternary
