The left wing press was all up in arms (so to speak) earlier this year when Tea Partiers adopted the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag as part of their political canon (so to speak). The liberal punditocracy reckoned the image was a belligerent, anti-government symbol that threatened the status quo with armed insurrection. Or at least encouraged it. Well, how about this then? The National Rifle Association (NRA) is now selling these coiled snake yard signs for members who’re feeling a bit defensive about their gun rights. Maybe it’s something to do with Elena “Settled Law” Kagan’s ascendency to the Supreme Court. But one thing’s for sure: anyone who displays this sign is as mad as hell and they’re not going to take it any more. They’re going to vote out the current crop of lying, thieving pols and . . . vote in a new bunch.
