The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is not one for saber rattling. As the Brits are wont to say, the firearms industry lobby group goes along to get along. But the NSSF has a significant PR budget, thanks to Americans putting their money where their members’ mouths are. The NSSF spends big bucks to ensure a healthy supply of gun buyers now and into the future. As part of its two-year-old Collegiate Shooting Sports Initiative, the NSSF has just awarded 38 grants totaling $190,000 to “help both new and existing collegiate target shooting programs flourish.” Here’s the kicker: a chunk of the money is headed for those bastions of New England liberalism: Harvard Law, the Fletcher School of Diplomacy at Tufts, Yale, MIT and . . . wait for it . . . Brown. [Full list after the jump.] Excellent training for Emma Watson’s first action movie methinks.

Actually Robert I believe Em has transferred to St. Olaf in Northfield, MN. But I’d be happy to hook her up with my carry instructor Joel Rosenberg (assuming he isn’t in prison). Heck, if I weren’t married I’d be happy to hook her up with . . . -ahem- . . . I mean take her to the range myself.
I call BS, just how sure is the NSSF that each dollar to a specific school will be used to “help both new and existing collegiate target shooting programs flourish.”….somewhere in there some money is going towards some BS.
