The NSSF today linked to a poll taken by Southwick Associates of “sportsmen and firearm owners” asking “What hunting or target shooting gear are you most hoping to receive this holiday season?” The results are predictably skewed towards hunting, with hunting apparel topping the list and a surprisingly large number of people indicating they don’t want any shooting related gear for the holidays. Make the jump for the full list.
When reading the list keep in mind that 1/3 of all people polled were between 45 and 54 years old, were asked a particularly skewed question, and the site for the survey offers a $100 gift certificate carrot out for people to take the survey but looks like it’s more likely to hand out free computer viruses.
Not that I’m trying to discredit the results or anything. God forbid. We all know internet surveys no one has ever heard of provide the most accurate results.
