We’ll see that 1894c and raise it a . . . watch this space. (Suggestions welcome.) Meanwhile, here’s another taste of unconventional lever fever: a $536 Rossi Ranch Hand in .44 Mag with a threaded barrel by American Precision Arms wearing an AAC nose cone. It looks a little awkward to me, but then I like revolvers. Still, it’s obscure and I’m sure there are some of you who’d desire a goofy-looking lever gun—albeit a pistol—that brings the noise, but doesn’t make much.
Hey, the Rossi Ranch Hand can’t be a rifle or it would be an NFA firearm (short barreled rifle) and require a $200 fee and a close inspection by ATF of the buyer’s underwear. The Ranch Hand is a “Mair’s Laig” pistol. Josh Randall would be proud.
All: I am sure you have heard this before…we as the shooting public need to stop using the term “silencer” when referring to suppressors. We just unsuccessfully tried to allow suppressors in the field in Montana. The Fish and Game continued to refer to silencers instead of suppressors. No amount of demonstrations could undo the damage done by the fish cop bureaucrats in committee calling suppressors silencers. We must stop referring to them as such if we want the public to accept them.
