Apparently, the maker of Zombie Max ammo feels our pain. Hornady kicks off the tease for their upcoming ammo unveil by dissing undeadophilia. Coming soon! A new type of four-wheel-drive shotshell slug and a pistol ammo to be named later. Is it me or does the copfrontation bit make you a bit queasy? Initially, I thought our “hero” was the guy drawing on the cop. I need to get out more. Oh, and the gun cleaning folks at Hoppe’s have just revealed their new “Elite Zombie Kit.” Middle class zombies are deeply offended. Or would be if they weren’t as brain dead as some marketing departments I could name. But won’t. For obvious reasons.
It’s easy to see that Hornady views law enforcement a little bit differently than TTAG. Remington and Hornady are pretty gung-ho about their law enforcement ammo, and shooting a dog wouldn’t really put a good feeling in people’s minds. It’s marketing – I wouldn’t look into it too far.
As to their products, I’m a big fan, although I’m having a hard time finding LeverEvolution locally in .30-30. I haven’t tried their .40 Critical Duty barrier ammo, but the test results look impressive.
The local Wally World here in Batesville had about 10 boxes of Leverevolution in 30-30 about 5 days ago.
As much as I dislike wal mart they do occasionally get ammo in I can’t get at local gunships such as .25 hp and 7.62x54sjsp. And pricing not too bad.
Hornandy Defensive ammo is nothing to write home about.
I’ll stick to more reasonably priced Speer.
Any particular reason for that assessment?
I know the main reason is that it can only be purchased in 25rd boxes. Also no LE departments use it that I know of, which isnt very confidence-inspiring for CIVs. Speer GDs and some Federal options are in so much widespread use by LE and CIVs and are proven performers that its usually the go-to option.
May I ask what your department issues? As I recall your a LEO in CA.

As usual, the marketing department catches on to the zeitgeist just as everyone else is getting sick of it.
Lets make sure and really beat this one into the ground though, you never know with zombies.
This is bad advertising on so many levels. They paid a firm to come up with this junk?
I’m going to make an effort from this moment forward to not reply to any more zombie themed posts. I’m truly tired of zombies. And Difi, the Frankenstein of zombies.

What’s with you bronies and your need to ruin everything?
I’m not a brony…though MLP-FIM is actually better written than, say, the CSI and Law & Order franchises, or other sludge on network TV, which insults the viewer’s intelligence with bad research and idiotic plotlines. MLP-FIM is not Boardwalk Empire, or Homeland good, but a decent show nonetheless: think South Park, with better animation and no sodomy jokes. Watch a couple episodes, and you’ll be surprised. And I’d like to be able to buy a full-auto firearm, but they are ‘prohibited’ weapons in Canada–apparently, not Equestria, though.
