We’ve said it before, so we’ll say it one last time. The volume and quality of the entries to our SIG SAUER P320 content contest has been mind-boggling. Picking Dave Keller’s name out of a hat as the first winner was easy. Judging the best effort from the hundreds we’ve received has been a little more daunting. But looking back over the breadth and depth of all the entries, one stood just a little higher than the others, and that was Randy in Indiana’s ‘Papa’s Rifle‘. Randy will soon be getting a package from New Hampshire, something that we hope he’ll hand down to his grandchildren some day the way his grandfather passed down that beautiful 1936 Marlin. Congrats. And thanks to all the writers who shared their time and talents with TTAG’s Armed Intelligentsia.

      • Yeah, I’m suddenly getting them on Firefox too, had to switch to IE to view the website at all.

FYI Sig is running a promo on centerfire pistols check the website.
    2 extra mags free.

  2. That was a great story. Man, I’d hate to have to choose though. There were some fantastic entries. But Papas Rifle was great! Congrats Randy!

  3. Congrats! Good choice. On a downer note I just ( 9:48 central ) tried to log on Google chrome on computer and got a MALWARE block. This post is BING.

  4. Just read the story for the first time, nice job man! You really took us back with you, and you deserve to win!

  5. Great choice, TTAG, I cannot think of an article that more deserved the win. Well done, Randy, I hope you enjoy shooting the P320. Your Pappa would surely be proud.

  6. Congrats, Randy, it was a great article.

My personal favorite was the story of the man who recovered his High Power years after lending it out during the Vietnam War, but this was a great one too.

  7. I have read entry after entry. Many have been fun, some have been eye-opening, and while a few have been unforgettable, only one sentence has provoked an emotion in me that is making it difficult to type, as vision blurs through tears. “I found that most of the slotted screws had been damaged in recent years by shaking hands that still longed to work, and I hoped that his dim eyes had failed to notice” I laugh as I cry-because tattooed biker gun enthusiasts just do not blubber. Randy made a rebel cry……….Nuff said…..Randy wins hands down. Molon Labe.

    • You did not cry alone, it was a very moving story. Congratulations to you, Randy, and thanks for sharing your story with us.

  8. Congrats – I own one of these and it’s my new favorite 9. Not so much for carrying (until I get the subcompact conversion), but for IDPA and other light competition, I like it better than my (heavily modified) glock.
