It’s too bad I have to spend money on a house payment, taxes, and utilities, because it would be so much more fun to blow a huge wad of cash on a matched set of Perazzi field shotguns chambered in 12, 20, 28 and .410 gauge. Sigh . . .

The high-contrast lighting made it really difficult to photograph these beauties, but hopefully you can get a sense of how grand these shotguns looked in person:

Here’s the bad news:

  1. .410 ga.! Do you have any idea how much the ammo costs for one of those? Sweeten the deal. Throw in a case or two of shells and you’re getting more reasonable.

And why not a 16 ga.? Why the discrimination?

    • So, if 67-gauge is .410 bore, then .410 gauge must be how many nanometers in diameter??? I’m assuming a “case or two of shells” would be less space than a standard 25-round box of 12-gauge? 🙂

  2. So basically I get four Perazzis for the price of one Holland and Holland. Seems like a solid deal to me.

  3. I’ve only got one thing left to do, and then I’ll be filthy rich.
Get a ton of 100 dollar bills.

  4. lets see,,,4 real pretty collectable shotguns for the gun case, or a decent starter house….hmmmm

  5. They are (finally) getting down in price. I saw this set at the Shot Show several years ago for $340,000 and change. If they go down another $245,000 maybe, just maybe, I will be able to afford one set.
Hey, if you are a member of the European (or American) Royalty you would not be caught dead hunting quail without one of these. Just ask Dick Cheney

    From Wikipedia:
“Vice President Dick Cheney was using a 28-gauge Perazzi shotgun when he accidentally shot Harry Whittington in 2006.[4]”.

  6. Must be the going rate. Saw a similar set that belonged to Peterson for about the same price. His has a topless woman engraved on the side plates. I have a picture of them some place.

  7. Heck, I saw a $275K shotgun (or double rifle; I was too afraid to get very close and get charged for breathing on it) at the Dallas Safari Club convention this past weekend. Therefore, 4 shotguns for $250K sounds like a bargain. 😉
