It’s too bad I have to spend money on a house payment, taxes, and utilities, because it would be so much more fun to blow a huge wad of cash on a matched set of Perazzi field shotguns chambered in 12, 20, 28 and .410 gauge. Sigh . . .
The high-contrast lighting made it really difficult to photograph these beauties, but hopefully you can get a sense of how grand these shotguns looked in person:
Here’s the bad news:
And that’s just the SCO Sideplates Grade. There are three grades above it (http://perazzi.com/site/en/catalogo/set/108). I’d hate to see what one of those sets run . . .
I skimmed this and read this as from the “Paparazzi.” Boy, that would be something.
.410 ga.! Do you have any idea how much the ammo costs for one of those? Sweeten the deal. Throw in a case or two of shells and you’re getting more reasonable.
And why not a 16 ga.? Why the discrimination?
So, if 67-gauge is .410 bore, then .410 gauge must be how many nanometers in diameter??? I’m assuming a “case or two of shells” would be less space than a standard 25-round box of 12-gauge? 🙂
Add that to a .9mm pistol and you have the perfect defense combo. 🙂
So basically I get four Perazzis for the price of one Holland and Holland. Seems like a solid deal to me.
I’ve only got one thing left to do, and then I’ll be filthy rich.
Get a ton of 100 dollar bills.
What a hose job. You can find Perazzis all over town for only $10,000 – $20,000 each.
“Only” he says…
…my most expensive gun was $600.
Please stop calling shotguns “shotties”. [Flame Deleted] Nobody in the shotgun world says that.
Thank you. “Shottie” sounds like some poorly written hollywood version of a british gangster talking.
So people who own shotguns and call them “shotties” aren’t in the shotgun world?
lets see,,,4 real pretty collectable shotguns for the gun case, or a decent starter house….hmmmm
Decent starter house? Where I live, a quarter mil will get you a decent McMansion.
Gun Porn. Hard not to stare.
They are (finally) getting down in price. I saw this set at the Shot Show several years ago for $340,000 and change. If they go down another $245,000 maybe, just maybe, I will be able to afford one set.
Hey, if you are a member of the European (or American) Royalty you would not be caught dead hunting quail without one of these. Just ask Dick Cheney
From Wikipedia:
“Vice President Dick Cheney was using a 28-gauge Perazzi shotgun when he accidentally shot Harry Whittington in 2006.[4]”.
Must be the going rate. Saw a similar set that belonged to Peterson for about the same price. His has a topless woman engraved on the side plates. I have a picture of them some place.
Heck, I saw a $275K shotgun (or double rifle; I was too afraid to get very close and get charged for breathing on it) at the Dallas Safari Club convention this past weekend. Therefore, 4 shotguns for $250K sounds like a bargain. 😉
