Robert Francis O’Rourke will never be president of the United States. And after his recent about face regarding grabbing Americans’ guns, (he was against confiscation before he was for it!) he’ll probably never hold public office here in Texas again, either.

But maybe Beto has another goal in mind. Maybe he’s trying to de-throne Barack Obama as holder of the title as America’s greatest gun salesman ever.

Good luck with that, kid. The master has quite a head start on you.

Anyway, never underestimate the power of the marketplace to identify a need and fill it. Case in point: Palmetto State Armory. The South Carolina-based retailer is now taking orders for their new “No Beto” stripped lower.

For a mere $49.99 (plus local FFL transfer fee…no internet sales loophole here) you can have a lower that features an engraved Gadsden-like serpent on the magazine well and safety setting of Hell Yes, Hell No and Snake Bite. We might have gone with “Bite Me,” but what do we know?

If this is truly a limited run, look for demand to out-strip supply. If you’re at all interested, you might want to get your order in now.

Oh, and PSA isn’t the only one who sees an opportunity in Beto’s open advocacy of confiscation.

  1. I just wish those $50 stripped lowers didn’t cost me $100 (when adding $25 DROS and $25 transfer fee) plus $3.75 sales tax plus shipping. Then again, BEto is just a candle in the wind. We need molonlabe-15s to cover all the other pathetic grabbers.

      • Why wouldn’t they? You take their time for receiving your item, and then they have to do the paperwork: A&D book, 4473, and if not a ‘permitted’ cancel carry, the background check.

        When you figure in the time to receive the package, book it into inventory, dispose of packaging, email or call the buyer to let them know its in, meet and greet they buyer, assist in the filling of a 4473 plus any state forms, run a NICS check, and finally book the gun out, you are looking at an hour of your time.

        What is an hour of your time worth??

    • I love PSA. They are such strong supporters of the right to keep and bear arms. The only thing cooler would be an 80% NoBeto lower.

    • My local FFL *is* Palmetto State Armory. But they still charge shipping on some items from the PSA web site to the store. Oh well… I got a couple lowers a few months ago for ~$40 each out the door ($29.99 plus tax/shipping). Not a bad deal.

      • Same here in Greenville. Range is ok, lots of different rentals if you’re looking to test drive. Kinda crowded compared to Sharp Shooters and what used to be Allen Arms. Not sure they are still open.

    • Yeah, but it’s only funny in the context of today’s news. Why would I ever want to buy something that will be forgotten and irrelevant a year from now? Something more permanent such as Minuteman, Betsy Ross, We The People, Gadsden Flag, etc. makes more sense.

      Beto put his foot in his mouth. Next month it’ll be Biden, and then more comedy to follow from the Dems all the way up to Nov 2020.

          A year from now, the entire Left will be screaming “we’re gonna take your guns”.

          If there’s any justice in the universe, Beto’s reputation will never recover, and he’ll die sometime in the future as an old, forgotten has-been.

After he was elected, all those people said “I knew he was going to win.” I’m not writing Beto off, or Pocahontas, or touchy-feely plugs, or old-white-socialist who married to avoid Vietnam. You never know what can happen between now and that November.

  3. Beto is kinda like some disease the just keeps reoccurring, To bad we can’t buy some kind of lotion to keep him under control. When I see him talking his animated talking style reminds me of some snake oil salesman. Seems like he tries to use his body movements to try and convince you that the lies he is spewing out of his mouth are true. Sad to say his type never seem to go away.

    I’d also point out at present a national registry is barred by law. 18 USC 926(a)& is explicitly illegal under the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act of 1986.

    In order to implement universal background checks, you have to create and maintain a database that would record every purchase and sale with the serial number of the firearm and the name and address of the buyer. That is the definition of a gun registry!

  6. I don’t like screwing around the safety markings. Which position is safe? This is dumb and unsafe. I like HKs markings the best. Firearm safety markings. should be universal, cross cultural, and explicit. Red means danger. If an illiterate Somalian can’t figure it out in two seconds, you did it wrong.

    And yes, I carried an M16A2- so I know. But still, this is unsafe and bad optics.

    On April 19th, 1775 is a day of the greatest significance to the birth of this great nation. If they didn’t teach you about this date in your “American History” class I will gladly share the facts with you for “those who don’t know history (or I would add… willfully dare to ignore it) are doomed to repeat it’s mistakes…”

    On that specific day 700 British Red coats (what a coincidence! The Communist’s/Socialist’s favorite color!) under the command of Lieutenant Colonel FRANCIS Smith (wow! talk about coincidences!) marched on the Massachusetts town of Concord under ‘secret orders’ to seize colonial guns, shot and powder that were being stored there.

    When they arrived in the vicinity of the Town of Lexington (Massachusetts) they were met and confronted by 500 colonial militia members. To this day no one really knows who fired the first shot but it is generally agreed that it was “the shot heard around the world” A militia of farmers, store keepers and other ‘commoners’ faced against one of the mightiest and greatest Empires ever…the British Empire…and the end result is well known… the birth of the Greatest Nation ever known to man.

    To be clear, the Red coats forced the colonial militia to retreat at Lexington, after causing them several casualties, moving on to Concord where they found that the ‘colonials’ had moved everything out. Unfortunately for the Red coats it also gave the ‘minute men’ an opportunity to re-group and reinforce with additional numbers. Historians agree that the British troop’s march back to Boston was ‘not a pretty sight’ and that in fact they had to be rescued by British Brigadier General Hugh Percy or they might not have made it back at all.

    What is largely and sometimes conveniently ignored by many is WHAT CAUSED THAT FIRST SHOT TO BE FIRED? Well, the answer is in American History. The British troops had been ordered to seize guns, shot and gun powder belonging to the ‘colonials’.

    The Second Amendment is not (and never was) about hunting. I dare you or anyone else to find any mention of “hunting” in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights; it was written to keep us precisely from the threat of an all powerful government attempting to ignore the Constitution and the Bill of Rights… the threat of dictatorship . Without it the Constitution, and the rest of the Bill of Rights are not worth the paper they are written on.

    All famous dictators have seized weapons from their people, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Maduro, etc.

    • I’m fairly sure he’s high as fuck on either cocaine or adderal or both. Normal people don’t move their hands that much when they talk for no reason, without it being a sympathetic nervous response to their brain being on fire, chemically. The combo can make for quite the theatrical performance, when dumbasses then mistake for actual charisma.

      The tweaker who pitched me his business idea once sure seemed charismatic, though. He was moving around & talking excitedly about his great plans, too.
      Step 1) Get me a “9 to 5” (not a bad start, honestly)
      Step 2) Get me a truck (this is a chicken/egg thing, I’m sure)
      Step 3) Buy scrap metal (not making this up)
      Step 4) Build AKs from scrap metal & sell for high margins (hey, it works for Century and a ton of ‘wasteland-chic’ custom AK builders)

  10. Fortunately, back in 1775 people had balls and took responsibility for their own safety since those were dangerous times and no cell phones, radios, or cops around.
    Unfortunately, we now have the cell phones, and radios, but still no cops, or balls to take responsibility for our own safety and defense. Times are still Dangerous. Of course there be exceptions and in November 2020 we will find out how many.

  11. Seems sorta silly to me. Like people who run around with bumper stickers on their car for candidates that never got elected… and the sticker’s still there 10 years later.

    • I saw a Beto sticker that I’m 90% certain was applied over an Obama sticker (from the portion I could see sticking out), and several others beneath that –you don’t usually see that sort of smart thinking among the leftist set. They usually let their support drop where it falls, like a wild animal.

    O’Rourke does not deserve the “honor” of that nickname.

    They must have a FFL to conduct business. I’m in their store conducting business. Besides, because they don’t charge a transfer, I buy bits, pieces and ammo from them

  13. Would it be gauche to make a good-natured “Chanukah calendar” shooting target, which gets used up as each candidate drops out of the running? Just a head-shot (pun) of each candidate, possibly sticking out of a clown-car or something, each giving off a big puff of chalk ‘smoke’ when struck.
