If you own a Pelican case, you know why it’s pretty much the go-to choice for traveling with your guns and keeping them safe and sound when you do. They’re damn-near indestructible. Now they’ve added a new extra-long 55-inch case to carry your most lengthy rifles and shotguns with plenty of room to spare.
Here’s their press release . . .
Pelican Products, Inc., the global leader in rugged, mission-critical protective cases and coolers, launched the longest injection-molded case, the Pelican 1755 Air case. The new case is 57-inches in length (55-inches interior length), ideal for a variety of items, including guns, survey stands, and camera equipment.
The 1755 case features a double-hand over-molded handle and wheels with stainless steel bearings for easy mobility. The case is made of lightweight HPX2 polymer. It is waterproof with an IP67 rating, dustproof, and military-spec certified.
To make the most of the long space, the 1755 case can fit three EZ-Click MOLLE Panels (1500MP). The EZ-Click MOLLE Panel System allows users to customize a storage solution within the lid of the 1755 case. Panels can be installed and removed quickly, so the user can configure panels as needed.
Like other Pelican Air cases, the 1755 case provides the same durable protection, with less weight. To learn more about the longest Air case or other Pelican long cases, please visit pelican.com

I’m tempted to buy a bunch of these and see if any contain some free gunns.
Finally a case long enough for the bedroom toys!
Fortunately, at 25 pounds empty, it does come equipped with wheels.
You can just hear an excellent infomercial voice-over:
The 1755 case can fit three EZ-Click MOLLE Panels (1500MP).
It slices, it dices, it juliennes.
And it even serves as an emergency flotation device when a Category 4 hurricane slams into your location!
All fun aside, it looks like an outstanding case.
I have a small Pelican case which I use to transport my everyday carry handgun on the exceedingly rare occasions that I fly on a commercial airliner. I love that case and would never dream of trying to use a cheap case for commercial air travel. I have to believe that this extra-long Pelican case is just as good, if not better.
Pelican case are pretty sturdy. I had one I shipped with tools in it for year for work. One day FedEx brought it out in a cardboard box. They broke it, not just the handle or wheels, the whole case. I wasn’t angry, I just wanted to know how they did it. It was cold, I was on a project in Alaska in January. I figure the case was left outside awhile and dropped from a good height.
The 1775 looks good and it should be good to transport a few high dollar firearms safely.
Wonderful idea, now if Pelican could convince thee riffle buyers that a barrel longer then 2″ is beneficial.
Nope, gonna get a riffle with a two inch barrel and then add a twenty inch suppressor.
Them short barrels are loud man, gotta be suppressed. $14,000 in the suppressor versus $27 for a good set of ear muffs.
And besides one or six shots from a riffle with no ear pro wont hurt your hearing, just ask NTexas.
