Not everyone in New York is happy about the new gun laws. In fact, quite a few were so displeased that they braved the January weather in Buffalo to make their voices heard. Here are some photos from one attendee reprinted here with permission.

My old home town, glad to see my old fellow western new yorkers standing up to a tyrannical governor. God bless all those involved and stay safe especially from the NYS government
My old home town, as well. They need to secede from NYS.
Go Sabres!
Sabres killed it this weekend bro!
So glad the lockout is done!
Give that woman a pat on the back good sign!!!
I freaking choked on my cupcake when I saw that
Wasn’t it in Albany? or was this another one?
Long ago, I got drunk in Buffalo’s Anchor Bar. I vaguely recall eating large quantities of spicy chicken wings.
Me too! Great wings. I spent a week in Buffalo one night.
Any of you guys there? Curious the back story on the swastika in the 4th picture. What’d the sign say?
Hopefully nothing bad to make all gun owners look like Neo-Nazis / white supremacists… “Gun Appreciation Day” has been getting some interesting coverage by mainstream outlets.
I was there. There was a tiny picture of Cuomo in the middle. Because the picture was so small, I thought the sign would give people the wrong impression.
I was wondering that too. Out of context could be very very bad for us
if you look closely it has a picture of someone in the middle. I think it is Obama or Cuomo. So I think that it is a big gov gun grab = nazis
Which is what all of this madness is about.
I was at the rally.
The Swastika sign was a parody of the famous “I Love NY” logo.
Instead of a heart, it had a swastika.
In the middle of the swastika was a picture of Andrew Cuomo’s face, with a Hitler mustache drawn on.
You can’t really see Cuomo’s face on the sign from the picture.
The sign was intended to compare the Governor to Hitler…because the recent gun bill was rammed through the Senate in the middle of the
night, without much time for review or debate.
The sign did NOT appear to be an endorsement of Naziism, and there were absolutely NO racist/Nazi sympathizers at this event…they would have been asked to leave.
Many folks are pointing out the similarities between U S gun control and NAZI gun control. It was probably like that.
I like the old fella is the last pic. Classic!
Love that woman’s sign. And more true to the roots of gun control than many realize, funny enough.
I don’t see any of these rallies doing anything, unfortunately. Tyrants don’t care what their subjects think.
True, die-hard scumbags like Cuomo don’t care what the people think, but their less-committed toadies in the legislature tend to get spooked when they get the message that their cushy job is on the chopping block.
There was one in Albany and one in Buffalo, We need to expell NYC and LI from the state and we would be plenty red, or at least very purple!
I have been posting for a short time at pafoa.org. In resent days I have been imploring those going to the rally on the 23rd NOT to bring weapons. You would think by some of the responses that I was advocating disarmament! People saying “I’m not going because you don’t want me to open carry an AR or AK or side arm”
What BS. These rallies are head counts. A sign is more positive for our cause. Bringing a gun serves none of our purposes or objectives. It only plays into the brady bull$hit. When GOA or the NRA says we are in the fight of our lives for second amendment rights. They were understating the situation. That ass hat danny glover tells Texas A&M students the Second Amendment was put in the Bill of Rights to protect slavery and GETS AWAY WITH IT!! No challenge.

And now even West Point says we are a threat to the nation:
“(2A Advocates) espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”

We better get our act together because though it may appear that the left has just started this gun grab as a result of Sandy Hook or Colorado this has been an ongoing preparation for a looong time. I’m getting a real bad feeling about this.
The Standing Army–which the 2A was originally meant to prevent[1] by substitute[2] of a Switzerland-style[3] well-regulated Militia–has its report on rightwinggunnut terrorism available here:

How’s that
Supporting the TroopsBootlicking the Standing Army working out now, folks?_____________
[1] “What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty….” ~Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts, spoken during floor debate over the Second Amendment, I Annals of Congress at 750, August 17, 1789
[2] “This [citizen-militia] appears to me the only substitute that can be devised for a standing army…” ~Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist, Number 29
[3] “The inhabitants of Switzerland emancipated themselves by the establishment of a Militia, which finally delivered them from the tyranny of their lords.” ~Representative Jackson, first U.S. Congress, when it met and turned to defense measures in 1791
Republicans of solidly blue states: move to democratic districts of swing states! Preferably, organize amongst yourselves and get enough people into a single state to make a difference.
(personally i’m biased toward Virginia because i’m sick of living in a blue state, even though we’re somewhat red on a state level.)
I get the swastika poster. But it’s too eye-catching. From a distance (or an angle) you can clearly make out the swastika. You can’t make out Cuomo, though; so it just looks like it’s a prostest by white-supremecists. Not good.
If anyone out there has the bright idea of bringing a swastika to a pro-gun rally, do us all a favor and put the swastika on the bad guy. Don’t put the bad guy on the swastika, because it might not be seen as anything but a swastika.
