Black Friday gun deals were out there, somewhere. Personally, I’d rather suffer slide bite than darken the doors of a store on Black Friday. But the gun owner’s wallet is a lonely hunter. (Or something like that.) For those who share my antipathy to mass retail events, the Internet was abuzz with great deals on gun gear and, yes, ammo (though not .22LR). So . . . whatjaget?

    • Awesome deals at PSA. I got a rifle kit and Bushnell red dot, then bought a stripped lower at a local gun store. Complete optic equipped AR-15 for <$500.

    • Nice. Exactly what’s needed to transform a typical sport utility vehicle, into an urban assault vehicle. I want to do the same with a .50 cal atop the Acura, but we have deed restrictions, HOA rules, the Texas motor vehicle code, etc. It’s a whole thing.

  20. Ammo, lots of it, for the first time since I bought my first pistol, major name brand brass cased 45acp was below .30/rd huzzah! Don’t even think it was that cheap in 2012.

  23. One box of .38 spl, one box of 9 mm, and one box of .32 acp. And a bunch of targets. Went to the range Black Friday. Was almost deserted. Shot up all the ammo. Much enjoyment.

    Earlier that morning, got a TV for 1/3 off. Long wait in line to pay, but I needed a TV.

  30. Nada, but watched enough TWD to want a S&W 3813 Grey Ladysmith, despite this being a completely irrational desire.

  31. I got nuttin’, because I’m waiting until the Black Friday insanity passes away like a fart in the wind. Then I’ll go shopping.

  32. 80% polymer hybrid lower with jig a bits set. First foray into the 80% world. I think I’ll grab a 6061 forged next, and finally a 7075 billet. After all of that, I’ll probably need to find another use for my laminate router.

    • Went tot the one in ?Ashland? KY on the way to a business trip. Their handgun prices were legit, and they had the most janky Chinese made shotguns I had ever seen. Cool place!

  39. I did not “Black Friday” shop, but I have been on the interwebs (GunBroker). I bought myself a Colt SAA clone in .45 with a 4.75″ barrel, and my daughter will be getting a FN FNX .45 for Christmas.

  41. I got a couple of lowers that were not even on sale, a couple of Gen 4 Glocks for a pretty damn good price, some magazines, sights and most of all two new Stealth Gear holsters.

  43. Got me a new flash hider, drop-in trigger, and a few Lancer mags (sadly not on sale but $15 is still a good price for those)

  44. I bought a Ruger 10/22. It came with a coupon for 650 rounds of Federal Target Grade 22lr. All together a grand total of $220 including the NICS check. I guess Oregon isn’t so dry on 22lr as the rest of the country.

  46. I bought a dozen ammo cans (GASP). As I’m going to be stockpiling (GASP) ammunition that I make in my garage (GASP).

  47. Sadly nothing. And I was less than impressed with the “deals” at my local gun shops…and Paul I’d get that Taurus for $250 in a heartbeat if it’s in good shape-nothing like 7 rounds of 357 goodness…

  50. Springfield XDs 9mm 3.3 barrell. Shoots great except that out of 180 rounds so far, between 5 and 10 per cent of rounds have been light or off center primer strikes. Not to mention half a dozen times it didn’t go into battery. Save your money on this one.

    • Ouch, sounds like you got a defective one. I’m sorry to hear/read that, my XD runs great, zero issues. I’d get in touch with Springfield, assuming you didn’t buy used, they should be more than happy to take care of that for you. Don’t write off the XD because one pistol had some hiccups, they’re fantastic little firearms! Mine shoots 5 groups that all touch, all day long and it’ll eat everything I stuff in the pipe. I’m really bummed out that you got a wonky one, I’d absolutely bet my life on mine, but I get the feeling you’d never fully trust yours, even if Springfield gets it taken care of, and that’s a damn shame because that’s what they were designed for.

  51. New G19 gen 3 in FDE from a local ffl. Almost bought a Sig P938 from Cabelas, but they had a huge waiting list. CHL’s were in the same queue. They called me 10 hours later saying it was ready. I told them they lost the sale 9 hours ago.

  52. I bought a M&P Bodyguard to replace my craptastic CW380. I tried for a 3GL at Stag Arms but they were sold out in 15 seconds after the deal went live.

  53. 1958 Browning A5 Light Twelve with two barrels. I have wanted one for a long time and could not pass on this one, even though it meant going shopping on Black Friday.

  54. Glock G19 Gen4 Gray Frame (Lipsey’s) at the local gun show for $495 and a Ruger 10/22 Commerative/Collector edition (1913 rail on top) for the daughter for $220.

    It was a good day.

  56. Nothing, my local brick and mortar, those fudds, sent out a thing advertising low markup, but it was essentially BS for the thing I wanted, as allowed by fine print. I wasn’t too surprised, yanno, it happens, but it’s on their heads when they end up with few regular customers because they can’t or won’t sell anything but SCCYs at a decent price.

  57. I got home from a 12 hour shift at 5:15 am Friday morning and ordered a CZ PCR on my LGS’s website. It won’t be there for a week, but I felt I had to spend some of the money I just earned (double time for the holiday, plus 12 hours of holiday pay).

  62. Almost forgot ordered a P938 Scorpion from Kentucky Gun Co. on 11/13 for $537. On 11/27, they emailed me order canceled due to “inventory problems”. Their next inventory problem is they lost a customer and all my friends are going to know about it. Thirteen days to realize you don’t have the gun? Yeah sure.

  64. Just a little ammo. Didn’t get to the sporting goods store until this afternoon, so no sign of the Heritage or any deals on 22. Picked up a few hundred rounds of 9mm (8.99, steel case) and a few boxes of shot shells just because. Learned I could Tetris my safe a little to get more ammo in there, but I think I’m now maxed out. A stack on may be in my future.

  65. Sold a Browning A-bolt and a SIG P938. Also am selling this week a flintlock rifle I made, but since flintlocks aren’t considered firearms by the ATF, no need to mention that here. Bought a Ruger AR556

  71. Spare magazine for my Savage Mark II. I’m really waiting for a rifled 870 barrel to show up at a good price, for the IAC-based ‘Barricade’ slug gun of my dreams.

  72. Hungarian underfolder kit from Simsco tactical on gun broker. A Yugo M76 (Similar to a PSL but in 8mm Mauser) Kit with new U.S. barrel and surplus mag Black Friday deal from Apex gun parts . 2x Waffen Werks 5.45×39 receivers from Classic Firearms. They were $19.99 each and are still for sale at that price!

  73. I looked at all the ads, and must’ve gotten a thousand e-mails from various places I’ve bought from in the past, but didn’t see any prices that were more than a couple bucks better than what they had been in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. Where were all these great deals you speak of?

  74. Nothing. Didn’t see many good deals on stuff I wanted. Hoped PA would put their 1-4x and micro dot on sale… Nope.

  75. Didn’t buy anything, but my buddy completed my 260 Rem build for me. Pretty sweet, built off a Savage M12 action, Bartlein barrel…..Taking it out tomorrow to try it out.

  76. Midway is selling Bushmaster uppers for 279.99, but heck, I don’t need one, so passed it up. Didn’t get a gosh dern thing gun related for Black Friday, although I kind of wish I had just gone ahead and woke up early and headed to Cabela’s, they had 300 rds o’ 223 in a sealed box for 104.99! Seemed like a helluva deal, but I couldn’t bring myself to drag ass outta bed at 3 am to be there by 5. Nah, maybe next year (yeah right!)

  77. I couldn’t wait until BF and I went ahead last week and bought a 4″ Ruger GP100, and a CZ 75d PCR, I’m glad I didn’t wait, I wouldn’t of saved much at all.

  78. Nothing. My wife thinks that I have spent enough $ on my “guns and ammo obsession” lately. Unless we count parts for building PID temperature regulator for my casting furnace…So instead of shopping I cast some boolits friday and powder coated and sized them today. Tomorrow I can load some. Or go shooting to get more brass to reload.

  82. Nothing on sale. Just 500 130gn Sierra Match King’s in .284″, 300 162gn Hornady Interlocks in .284″, some dies, some .30carbine brass and some good will from the wife now that I have brass on the way for her rifle.

  84. I didn’t buy anything on black Friday, But I got my Tax Stamp and 922r Kit for my Scorpion Evo on Wednesday. I guess that it is close enough?

  85. My wife and I made approximately 60 calls to Sig Sauer Friday before 9am only to find out they’d run out of P229 Legions… so nothing. Unfortunately.

  89. Determined to buy a DPMS GII Recon, what was I thinking? I’m on the list, but there are none available for a LONG time.
