“So Florida could go the historical route (in choosing an official state gun), and pick a firearm that was used to shoot the Seminoles, who had the nerve to be here first, or perhaps we could go the contemporary route by honoring the Kel-Tec 9 millimeter handgun, which is made in Florida. The Kel-Tec is the lightweight, inexpensive weapon that Florida’s most famous gun owner, George Zimmerman, used three months ago to kill Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager falsely assumed to be ‘up to no good’ while walking in a Sanford neighborhood.” – Frank Cerabino
Shouldn’t that be Smug Douchebag edition?
I concur.
Every law abiding citizen should carry a gun.
Just to get this guy’s knickers in a twist, they should make the Kel Tec the state gun.
And offer a tax holiday on new purchases of said gun.
If you can find one.
Retract that, you can find the crappy Kel-Tec pocket pistols, just not the carbines, rifles, and shotguns people actually WANT to buy.
Indeed. I find Kel-Tec’s business model to be most confusing.
Haters gonna hate.
Another smug douchebag grin…incredible. He looks kind of like a despicable Steve Martin.
Typical moron putting the blame on an inanimate object. Poor fool can’t see the difference between the tool and the wielder. His smarmy little liberal guilt line about the Seminoles lost him any credibility from the start.
oh i get it……this guy is sarcastic……
His sarcastic comment is kinda funny.
If you’re gonna limit Second Amendment rights, ya gotta limit all others.
In regards to limiting First Amendment rights, let’s start with idiots like this one.
I like the idea of a State Gun. It’s a tool as vital as watercraft (my state has an official boat) and domesticated animals (we also have a state dog) to the civilization of our wild land. Utah has the 1911. Florida should choose the Spanish arquebus.
His original premise is incorrect. The Seminoles were not here first. They are the descendants of Creek and other Native Americans from Alabama and Georgia that started moving down here in the 18th century.
The original Native Americans from Florida moved to Cuba and other Spanish controlled islands after the Spanish turned the territory over to the English. So the Seminole wars were not about a local people fighting an invading people. It was two different invaders fighting over the same land.
And to his second point, Taurus has a manufacturing facility in Miami, and Colt is preparing to open a factory outside of Orlando.
But he’s like so many other liberals who, when it comes to facts and truth, believe that because he thinks so, then it must be so.
Does Florida have an Official State Douchebag? ‘Cause I got a nominee in mind.
+1
Unless this guy is donating all his land and possessions to the Seminole nation as partial repayment for his portion of the “sins of the past”, then he should shut his pie hole about that. And unless he has access to info the rest of the public doesn’t have, then his comment about Mr. Zimmerman’s case before trial has even begun is meritless also.
Who the heck is Frank Cerabino and who gives a hoot what he thinks about anything?
Observation:
Even more amazing than his “clever” comment is the fact that he lives in Florida and has such pasty skin color. It’s making me rethink the “zombies as a Hollywood construct” mindset. In fact, I’d like to finish this comment but I’d better go buy some zombie ammo before sundown…
Bit of a copyediting error in the original. Here’ the fix:
Beat me to it CarlosT. +1
I vote for the Tec 9 also built in Miami and of coures with the 32 round mag.
