“It’s like taking slices off a salami. You know you slice away at the Adler today and a little bit later, it’s all lever-action shotguns. A bit later, it’s different types of actions and before long, it’ll be illegal to own a pop gun. That’s where we’re heading.” – Australian Senator David Leyonhjelm quoted in Port Arthur survivor Carolyn Loughton calls for ban on Adler rapid-fire shotgun [via abc.net.au]
[h/t JA]
“…Adler rapid-fire shotgun…”
Really?
bump fire maybe
Lever action.
Everything that is not loaded through the muzzle is “rapid fire” when they want to ban it.
When you have already banned pump-action and auto-loading shotguns, this is about as ‘rapid fire’ as you’re ever likely to get.
I’ve used this same analogy for years now , after I heard Chuck Harder explain it back in the 1980’s. It is a common tactic among activist of all colors . You are convinced to just give a sliver and you put it back in the fridge and maybe years go by and you’re ask for another sliver and on and on until one day you get a knock on the door and when you go to the fridge with your knife to cut off another sliver , IT”S ALL GONE !
And just like financial salami slicing, the goal is to make those cuts so that the victim doesn’t “feel” the loss.
And, just like real salami, gun-grabbers can pound-it.
POUND THAT SALAMI,
POUND IT.
LUBE IT WITH SAND, CRUSHED GLASS, AND ABORTED FETUSES,
AND POUND IT AGAIN!!!
Ooops, I forgot the salt.
#NaCl
OUCH !
Been a while , but I think that would really hurt .
Maybe we should just stop slicing the salami .
Speaking of little by little, Oregon is slicing faster and bigger chunks!
Oregon’s newly “legislatively” passed (Bloomberg bought) universal background check law-
will not only do a background check on the private sale BUYER, they will apparently be collecting also FULL info about the SELLER….TOO….. for their database .
as of Aug 06, 2015 The Oregon FFL Dealer’s NICS Background check computers, are seeing newly (to be) implemented information screens appear on their systems – for the State’s database building. Not only having BUYERS INFO FILLED IN for a NICS check, but, also
SELLERS INFO ….This includes the seller’s name, address, city, state and zip and their phone number.

It’s likely cause of CA migration. CA is like cancer. It spreads quickly. If you want to save Texas, Arizona, Alaska and the rest you have to beat CA.
Break gun control in CA and we win. If not, then our grandkids will be fighting a losing war for their freedoms.

The grandkids will probably be fighting only with squirt guns, unless those are outlawed too…
Need to build a wall along the CA border or do a liberal relocation to select liberal
encampments like New York, New Jersey, Conn….
And be rendered helpless against the inevitable alien invasion?

Me thinks it is time for the reservation system to make a come back. All Libs will get put in the colonies for the good and protection of their “feelings” and the rest of us can have a free country unaffected by their insanity. Win win.
That’s how the liberal agenda operates, slow gradual change. Most people don’t even notice it happening. Whether it’s gun rights, recreational use of federal lands, taxation, or????
We could all just make our own salami but claiming your rights is apparently illegal.
Salami, cake, whatever. And they wonder why it is not even open to discussion. At all. Period.

There’s a benefit to taking slices off a nice salame cotto, especially to my taste buds. There’s no benefit to gun control, except for criminals and the government… I’m repeating myself I know.
