It may end up being meaningless, and nothing will be done, but the Democrats are not even willing to pay this lip service.
It will not matter unless the GOP has the house and senate. Right now, the economy takes center stage, everything else is second.
the economy being such a wreck can work in the gop’s favor. rightly or wrongly the party in office gets the credit or blame for the economy. as i vote my guns i will be voting gop. in another post this morning we see a guy named hirsch,who’s part of the group trying to re elect barry pushing for “common sense gun control”.

I don’t mean to keep beating on this dead horse, but the cognitive dissonance _must_ be painful. This is the party that has no qualms with expanding government control and abusing freedom in the name of security. Folks that think voting GOP is the way to preserve our right to keep and bear arms are in for a rude awakening.
I surely do hope it’s more than just lip service. Unfortunately, a lot of pols will give just that when their jobs are on the line. We the people, need to hold them to their words.
They should promise to get rid of the sbr and suppressor waiting period… Do the tax (I know They need the money) buy we should be able to buy it same day.
I think this will be more than lip service. I agree with Pascal the economy and jobs are number one. I also believe that the GOP with someone like Ryan will seriously look at getting gun rights restored. People will hold their feet to the fire to get thIs done.

Ignoring the gun grabbers and upholding the 2nd Amendment is something every president should have been doing already.
First they have to win office. If the golfer in chief wins start selling your registered guns so it’s not a total loss.
That’s if you trust Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan to honor their party’s platform and actually protect 2A rights instead of their own interests… I mean, they would NEVER put themselves over the rules and traditions of the Republican party right?
I mean, Ron Paul was totally treated fairly by Romney and his friends (/sarcasm).
And isn’t Ryan a diehard BOW hunter? I mean, I respect guys that hunt with a bow… doesn’t mean I necessarily think that all of them will go to bat for gun rights, though.
I’ve heard a lot of bow hunters make plenty of disparaging remarks about the “orange army” and their firearms.
shawmutt. schumer, difi, pelosi, both clintons and their ally bloomberg to name just a few. and hillary is in favor of the u.n. arms treaty.
Meanwhile the DNC’s gun plank is apparently summed by the phrase, “Let’s talk about it.”
