  1. This is not the first incident like this. More and more the message is coming thru that if you are involved in a vehicular accident w/ a car or pedestrian just keep going. The option to address the situation later is there. There is no moral obligation to get out of your car if your life is at stake

  2. We’re a group of volunteers and opening a new scheme in our community.
Your website provided us with helpful info to
work on. You have done an impressive activity and our entire community might be grateful to you.

  3. Nope, Chief. This is what happens when a felon is allowed to repeatedly slide in and out of the corrections system. This is what happens when kids growing up in broken homes without good role models becomes an epidemic. This guy wasn’t some concealed-carry permit holding ‘vigilante’. He was a punk who had never been taught to live within societal rules and value life. When all that matters is scoring women, gold chains, and cars (not necessarily in that order), you do things like this.

  4. We need a law preventing people convicted of felonies from having guns- that will reduce gun crime.

People willing to commit murder won’t be willing to violate guns laws.

  5. The chief went on to say that because we have concealed carry, that’s why things like this are happening even though of the 40+ murders committed so far in 2015, zero were the responsibility of the person with a CCW permit. Typically, they perps are either adults with a long rap sheet, hence automatically denied permit if they would apply, or underage and ineligible to apply. It’s also the Republicans’ and NRA’s fault his city has violent crime.

He and his boss the mayor are so desperate to protect their inactions, mostly the mayor’s unwillingness to properly staff the police department. They are also desperate to protect the local justice system where our local county judges give super lenient sentences, looking for ways to get this folks back on the street, and our local DA’s office, too obsessed with avenging his wifey-poo’s political enemies, wasting millions of dollars and man hours instead of prosecuting criminals. He’s so cowardly, he won’t call them out. He’s now just a paycheck collector, not a police chief.

  6. Barbara Sprewer, who lives next door, said she saw Damani looking around before crossing the street, apparently intending to join the girls in the park. She saw the van and estimated it was going 25 to 30 mph.

“Nobody was watching the baby,” she said.

I would lay the ultimate blame for the death of the toddler with the person who let a 2-year-old play by a street without supervision. If that was supposed to be the 15-year-old, then whoever game him the job.

  7. What is meant by “Ricky Chiles, took the law into his own hands”
What crime was committed, what punishment was meated out?
There was a accident and then a murder. There was no law in Ricky’s hands!
A vigilante he was not. Yet the media wants to associate CCW with vigilantism and this criminal with vigilantism thus we are the same.

The driver was focused on desperately trying to help the dying toddler. The attacker could have killed the driver just as easily with a baseball bat, large knife, or large rock.

The only thing that this event illustrates is that a psychotic person can easily kill a victim when the attacker sneaks up behind the victim.

    • Catch and release justice is a win/win for progressives. They get to pander to one of their core constituencies (criminal welfare parasites) and wring their hands about gun control when the savages, predictably, kill someone.

Doubtlessly a reference to Officer Michael Slager.

  10. Huh. I’m confused.

Have we not just been treated to about a half-year of protests, marches, riots, mayhem, looting and arson… with attending left-wing media propaganda, claiming that “black lives matter?”

  11. Did anyone else notice on the court document that he had to submit to a DNA test? What the hell for?
It didn’t seem like anything that required one.
the only way your getting a DNA sample from me is if it was to clear me in a crime where DNA is needed.

  12. No, that was a sad example of when people choose to act like animals, and disregard the law, not to mention a human life! As tragic as that incident was there was no reason for anyone to pull out a gun, not one.
