One thing that differentiates good shooters from great shooters is how in-depth they know their equipment. Knowing the design parameters and knowing the inner workings of a specific feature set will help you maximize performance in any given situation.

The following Shooter Opinions interview is with Jerimiah Alexander, the director of Product Design at Riton Optics. Jerimiah’s background as a competitive shooter and ELR enthusiast gives him valuable real-world experience to influence the products he designs. I only say this because someone can be an optical genius but if they have no experience in shooting then their design parameters will be limited to theory only and textbook logic.

This interview is a deep dive into the inner workings of modern scope design. If you are a shooter or someone just looking to invest in their first scope, this video can be a great resource for you.

  1. So extra special super duper design that is then sent to the PLA/chicoms for them to use in their military optics. WOW Isn’t that just special

  2. I don’t mind so much that the product is made in China with Japanese lenses, it’s the prominent American flag on their website. Maybe I should get one of their all-American sights to put on one of those Croatian pistols sold by that other all-American outfit.

  3. A friend of mine bought one.
It was not bad, but to cut corners it had a 1-inch tube.
I am very leery about buying anything from China. I try to avoid them as much as possible.
