Nothing’s been hotter in the accessory market over the last couple of years than pistol red dots and as a subset of those, the hottest hotness has become enclosed emitter red dots. While they’re bigger and boxier than standard reflext sights, they keep dirt and the elements out of the works for more reliability in more conditions.

Riton Optics has just announced their new 3 TACTIX EED (enclosed emitter dot). We have one on the way for a full going over, but in the mean time, here’s their press release . . .

Riton Optics, a leader in innovative optics, is thrilled to announce the launch of its first-ever enclosed emitter red dot, the 3 TACTIX EED. Designed to meet the demands of professionals and enthusiasts alike, the 3 TACTIX EED sets a new standard for performance and durability in the ever-changing world of red dots.

The enclosed emitter design provides a robust shield against dust, moisture, and impacts, ensuring consistent and reliable performance, even in the most challenging and adverse environments.

“Riton is committed to providing shooters with the highest quality optics at an affordable price, and the 3 TACTIX EED is a testament to that commitment,” said Jerimiah Alexander, Director of Product Development. “With how often red dots are evolving, we felt it was important for our brand to offer our customers this option.”

As with every electronic, non-variable power optic, the 3 TACTIX EED is backed by a Two-year Warranty and the Riton Promise.

  1. Good Riton

I think it would look stupid on a Glock though. Red dots like this would seem right at home on a carbine.

  2. This is the exact same enclosed emitter Chinese red dot everyone else is selling; all made in the same factory with different labeling.

    • yep.

that’s a pretty common thing across name brands today. Sometimes there are cosmetic changes to the casing, and sometimes a re-arrangement of controls or battery compartment – but internally its the same exact thing. The OEM manufacturer in china marks it and brands it for the company that’s selling it. Sometimes its supplied to a company in a sort of ‘kit’ form, then basically the company puts it together to claim, for example, ‘made in USA’ or ‘manufactured in USA’.

The same OEM manufacturer in China that produced these sights also markets the same thing for 1/2 to 1/4 (or less) the price under other off branding that people call ‘airsoft’ or ‘chineese junk’ while they praise the product from the name brand company as being the best thing since sliced bread – and its the same exact thing.
