I haven’t been able to find a video of a Boston Dynamics robot shooting a gun. I suspect they’ve been there, done that but don’t want to scare the public. I’m not sure this DARPA-funded dynamo presents any particularly new threat to our constitutionally protected rights; SWAT teams already use robots to check out your digs before they execute a no-knock warrant (and your dog). But there is that niggling question of whether or not morality gets lost in the ether when its delegated to Artificial Intelligence and/or exercised via remote control. Anyway, never mind hearts and minds. Like our CIA-controlled drone program, expect an up-armored and armed RoboCop (a.k.a., Petman) to debut in foreign lands. For reference, click here for OmniCorp’s press release. And no, I didn’t get this story from InfoWars.

  1. Another quality product from OCP, dedicated to serving the public trust, protecting the innocent and upholding the law.

Where’s Peter Weller when we really need him?

  2. I thought this was going to be about the new Robocop movie coming next year. Im rather glad I didnt have to whine about how horrible its going to be.

  3. Just put a 3 level vest on Asimo and equip him with a bottle of pepper spray. Lot cheaper than developing a whole new kill bot.

And this video for Tetra Vaal dates back to 2004 (before there was a YouTube)

  5. This Tetra Vaal video is originally from 2004

Before there was YouTube, we had to download a 16 MB QuickTime video file to watch this. You kids today have it easy. Now get off of my artificial lawn.

    • I apologize for the double post.

The first post did not appear for at least seven hours ( 00:57 to 07:51), and I assumed that it had been lost in the bowels of the server.

I think the the second post links to a better-quality copy of the video.

  6. Concidering the 47 petitions for secession I imagine “Forgine Lands” may soon include most of the US

    • So would the be the New US or the US Conglomerate??
Need a could mix of states when secession happens. Texas has beef and lots of grazing land, Arkansas has pretty well everything it needs to be self supporting so they get in, Kansas for the wheat, Missouri for cheap smokes and gas plus some good mountains to hide in if needed, lots of places need to be in and we can close the border off and be self sustaining.
