Rocky makes great boot uppers. But, they don’t know “$hit from shinola” about soles and attachment to the uppers. Every single Rocky boot my family bought had sole and attachment issues which were not covered by Rocky. Original Cornstalkers were great boot uppers, but soles crumbled, fell apart. Sent both Dad’s and my Cornstalkers back to Rocky. Three months later, they sent the untouched boots and new soles…….unattached to the boots……a DIY repair kit. What were we to do? Start a DIY boot repair shop. Complained, sent the boots and separate soles back. They attached with shoddy workmanship. The Gore-Tex lined waterproof boots were waterproof like my Nam jungle boots. Another of many episodes, highest end Rocky boots, wore one deer season, walked maybe 3 miles total in them between Jeep and deer stands. Cleaned and stored in spare bedroom closet with all other boots/footware. Next deer season soles were crumbling when taken out for season……NO WARRANTY….OVER 1 YEAR OLD…..~$250/year service cost?!?!? After numerous similar experiences, Rocky products are no longer allowed on our 3800 acre big boy play ground. Show up with any Rocky product……required to burn them or leave. Attributed Henry Ford saying…Happy customer maybe tells 10 others. Unhappy cutomer tells maybe 20 other. They were ametuers, I’ve been singing Rocky praises for 20 years, and counting.
@StLProA ….this man at Trenton & Heath is an unbelievable perfection “artist” at boot repair, watch the video!

I’ve also had what I consider poor performance from Rocky as opposed to Danner. To be fair, I haven’t had any Rocky footwear for over 15 years or so.
As per Danner- I wish they’d market an all-leather Pronghorn again. I’m not a fan of the leather-cordura hybrids.
Red Wing boots are the only boots we own..
The Snakeproof fabric protects you from getting bitten by most venemous snakes in North America. The upper is made with 16 inches of CORDURA fabric
