The City of Seattle—home to a billionaire-backed gun prohibition lobbying group which bankrolled two gun control initiatives that have been dismal failures—hit a new homicide record this week, ironically with the death of a June stabbing victim, and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said the time has come to repeal the laws that only impact law-abiding citizens and take a new course against criminals.
Seattle has now posted 70 murders, and there is still one full month remaining for the body count to rise even more.
“Seattle, and the whole of Washington State, is proof positive that passing laws which only impact honest gun owners accomplish nothing to reduce violent crime,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “We warned people in 2014 that Initiative 594 would not prevent murder or mayhem, and we were right. We told Seattleites in 2015 the tax on guns and ammunition in their city would not prevent shootings or slayings, and we were right. We cautioned voters in 2018 that Initiative 1639 would not keep guns out of the wrong hands, and we were right, again. In fact, we have consistently been right about public safety issues while the other side is only interested in public disarmament.
“How many more people must die before the gun ban bunch publicly acknowledges they’ve been wrong all along,” he wondered. “What will it take to compel Gov. Jay Inslee, Attorney General Bob Ferguson, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell and their wealthy elitist anti-gun cronies to admit their agenda has failed miserably?
“The time has come for Washington State lawmakers and voters to roll back the extremist gun control measures, stop penalizing law-abiding gun owners and gun buyers for crimes they didn’t commit, and try a different tack,” Gottlieb suggested. “Almost three decades ago, we championed Hard Time for Armed Crime and Three Strikes laws. The public overwhelmingly supported both measures because instead of punishing the good guys, they concentrated on the bad guys. It’s time for that spirit to be revived.”
Instead of making it harder for Washington citizens to legally exercise their Second Amendment rights, Gottlieb said Washington lawmakers must make it easier to lock up criminals, especially recidivist outlaws who illegally possess and use firearms in crimes.
“Criminals can’t commit crimes when they are in jail,” he observed. “Thugs can’t kill or injure people from behind prison bars. If we want safe neighborhoods, we need solutions that work, not headlines that only offer false hopes. We will happily help with any good faith effort that doesn’t impair the rights of law-abiding citizens. This is our community, too, but we know the difference between good guys and bad guys. Anti-gunners obviously don’t.”

Every time Gun Control zealots open their mouths remind them of the Historical Atrocities associated with their beloved Gun Control…Mr. Gottlieb.
We know all too well that they DGAF about crime/criminals, they are just using crime control as an excuse for gun control. We need to start publicly calling them out on that – and bring the receipts. Ever since May 2020, the Commiecrats have been defunding police, releasing violent criminals, encouraging riots, looting, arson, etc.! and their lies & hypocrisy is exposed. So with crime having gone WAY up, people are arming up in record numbers (again since early 2020). The gun-grabbers keep shooting themselves in the foot (pun intentional) and now more people than ever oppose their gun agenda!!
Our job will be to educate new gun owners, explain the history of gun control and its’ consequences, and turn them into newly-minted 2A activists. Only when gun owners take personal responsibility for combating gun control will we win. We cannot allow the vast majority of gun owners to join the do-nothing NRA and think that being an NRA member alone is going to protect their gun rights. The NRA has already been caught in the act more than once quietly supporting antigun bills so they can stoke fear and get more memberships & donations. And when that didn’t work, they started paying off RINOs in the Senate to vote FOR gun control bills!!
We can and must do more if we are to prevail.
If they could get away with it here, the left wouldn’t care how many died. Tyrants want their boot on the throat of the citizenry. That’s all they care about. Same story all over the world, all through history.

Hello! The gun control laws are succeeding. Beyond their wildest dreams. You’d understand this if you just realize gun control has nothing to do with stopping crime, and everything to do with disarming the law-abiding in the face of criminals and, in the long term, the state.
The eventual goal of gun control is to have all guns in the hands of state agents and criminals, who can then proceed to foment communist revolution. Once the revolution succeeds, the state lines up the “useful idiot” criminals against the wall, along with other groups, and executes them.
I suggest gun rights orgs start telling the truth about gun control.

Gun control MAY have been about slavery in the past, but right now, given how the usual suspects can exercise their black privilege and get a slap on the wrist for felon in possession, not to mention murder, it is no longer racist against blacks.

Honestly expected higher and that roughly translates to 10 per 100,000……..Albany NY is 11.2 per 100k (really its 11 total but gotta love statistics) so……….damn I work in a city with a higher murder rate than Seattle. I would say at least we don’t have street shitters but been seeing those since the summer.

A few moths ago, my daughter relocated to a suburb north of Seattle. Thankfully, she has turned down a couple of Job offers in the downtown. But her boyfriend keeps telling her Seattle is a safe place. (He is a moron who believes everything CNN tells him to believe). He told her that her fear of the homeless prowling the downtown, indicates she is highly prejudiced. Since she is Korean, he could not call it ‘white privilege’. Right. Seattle is safe and there is no need to be cautious around the homeless.
Worst of all, his parents were among the original Vietnamese boat people. You would think they would recognize the gallop of communism in this country. Nope. They tune into CNN, turn-off their brains, and cheer for the eradication of all the freedoms they came here to enjoy.
Seattle will continue its plummet into darkness.

So what did they do with this information?

Not true: 1639 took semi-auto “assault” rifles out of the hands of law-abiding persons under 21 and the gun and ammo tax gave them more money to fund their anti-gun and free heroin safe site programs exactly as intended… You’re aware that 60% of the voters in the state of Washington APPROVED initiative 1639… You get what you ask for…

The people of seattle voted for this. The majority of voters there are happy with it. Are there some that are not happy with it? Yeah, there is.
But you’re out number 1000 to 1.
You had a police station abandoned and burned the ground. Law abiding citizens trying to protect their property with guns were arrested. This is what you wanted. The “free” condoms, the “free” abortions, the “free” medical marijuana. The “free” needles. The “free” government injection centers. The legal butt sex and drugs.
People need to start facing the truth. There is a sizable percentage of the population that wants “free” stuff. And they want you to pay for it.
If you don’t like what’s going on in the city you should leave. Or stay. Everybody has free will.
Murder is up in seattle because libertarians, liberals and the left said the jails were too overcrowded. And they demanded criminals be released, so they got their wish.
That is why the murder rate is up in seattle.
They don’t care if their anti gun laws don’t work. “Stopping gun violence” isn’t the point. They intend to keep ratcheting down the screws on civilian gun ownership to make it so difficult and such a hassle that ordinary people will just give up; and no matter how ineffective their laws are, you’ll notice once enacted they’re never revoked.
These laws are a corollary to a canary in a mine, they’re a measure of how much freedom the government is willing to allow its citizens; and by a lot of standards we’re less free now than we were when George III was our king.
Seattle will never admit their gun control does not work. They will simply claim they need more gun control laws, and will double down on stupid.
Time for East Washington to become a State, along with East Oregon, East California, South Illinois and West New York.

There are actually idiots out there who whine about the imbalance of power of rural voters vs urban voters in the senate and electoral college and think the answer is to force North and South Dakota to merge. But especially after COVID it would seem obvious that it isn’t fair that a person in Wyoming has so much greater say in who’s governor than a person in California. So I propose we just break up the big states. The Dems won’t go for it though because Texas will become 3 or 4 conservative states, at least 2 of 3 Florida states will be conservative, Illinois becomes 1 liberal and 1 conservative state, etc.
That is what really terrifies so many people. Those new break off states would all be conservative. In the country would have a huge tilt to the Right. The libertarians liberals and the left would rather have the status quo.
It’s not a bug. It’s a feature. Order from chaos. It’s centuries old and it works. Divide and conquer. Just look at the changes in the last twenty years.
