Second Amendment Foundation First Responders

From the Second Amendment Foundation:

The Second Amendment Foundation has launched an ambitious television advertising campaign promoting its “Second Amendment First Responder” program, promoting gun rights activism as the fall campaign season kicks off.

Our ad campaign will appear on Fox News, DISH TV, One America News and Newsmax,” said SAF founder and executive vice president Alan M. Gottlieb. “Our message is simple and direct. Gun rights need to be protected now more than ever as America is under attack by anarchists who have been undermining public safety by demanding we defund police agencies, and essentially allow a breakdown of law and order.

“We’re offering a counter to violent lawbreakers who have been hiding behind the veil of public protest to riot and loot, destroy public and private property and throw society into chaos,” he added. “There has been no more important time in recent history for law-abiding Americans to step forward and defend their right to keep and bear arms, and that’s what Second Amendment First Responders is really all about. We’re not promoting a candidate or a political party, just a worthy cause.”

“This isn’t about electing, it’s about protecting,” Gottlieb observed. “Mounting this television advertising campaign is the most effective way to reach millions of citizens quickly, especially the five million citizens who bought guns for the first time this year.”

It’s easy to participate in the Second Amendment First Responder program, he explained. Simply text “PROTECT 2A” to “474747.” A message will come back immediately from SAF explaining how activists are the front line when it comes to defending the right to keep and bear arms. They increase their activism by becoming “force multipliers” who then recruit additional volunteers to build their own local networks.

“This is grassroots activism at its most basic, boots-on-the-ground level,” Gottlieb said. “The best part about the Second Amendment First Responder program is that it is entirely free.

“In order to defend our rights,” he concluded, “we’ve got to protect the one right that makes it possible. Second Amendment First Responders is the project that puts it all together, and our television advertising campaign brings the message to Americans across the country.”

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.

    • If that’s your best hope, you are totally screwed. I have a better chance of being elected, and I have none.

    • Any random spec of fly shit on a windshield has a better shot at getting elected than the Libertarian candidate for President.

If you want to stop Donald Trump’s insanity, reject his Fascist methods and flush his Cult of Personality down the toilet where it belongs, you have absolutely ZERO option but to vote for Biden. Not a good option, but that’s all there really is.

If you are a single issue voter for the Second Amendment, you have to write-in Eugene B. Meyer, the current President of the Fedrealist Society. It is that organization which, in these so very strange times, both has Trump’s ear on judicial appointments and is pro-Second Amendment while Trump, by all his other actions and history as a Democrat, is clearly not.

      • Sorry, enuf. It is Progressive ideology that has fascist roots. In contrast, Trump and the conservative insurgency are market-capitalists. Market-capitalism is, of course, the antithesis of fascism.

  2. I am my own “1st responder”! My local 5-O failed(spectacularly) on May 31(my birthday😕) and last year on Halloween…

  3. – Simply text “PROTECT 2A” to “474747.”

I would suggest not doing this, unless you’re quite sure your on a watch list prior to now. In which case it won’t matter.

    • Lists…Lists You’re worried about Lists. If that’s your biggest concern you just as well give up your Freedom now and surrender all your Rights. Lists… WOW.

      • You think it’s a good idea to telegraph intent to the enemy? Don’t be daft, I know you’re smarter than that.

    • 9×39 – From a day or 2 back, the other Russian emigre (besides Serge) that has posted here had an unusual user name, something like ‘int19h’ and he was from the Seattle area.

int19h is a very old machine ‘boot-loader’ command from the 8080A / Z-80 era of microprocessors. He was in the software industry, if memory serves…

      • Much obliged, I noticed the name for the same reason. Seems I’m not the only one who revisits posts. 😉

    • You’re on a list whether you know it or not. Most of us are. Especially if you are a veteran, ever ordered a firearm related object online or displayed anything on your vehicle as subversive as a NRA decal or pro 2A statement.

      • Yes, I know. There are various levels of threat lists, that’s known as well. Point is, texting on your Google or Apple phones puts you on other’s radar, and that data is sold and given to a great many that are working against us. Google in particular does not care who they sell that data to. I could buy it, & so could you. I’d be willing to bet, they also will sell it without the data being anonymized. I’d hoped to provoke thought of opsec, but it seems my aim has heretofore gone whooshing right over head.

Many folk have exactly no idea how to secure their coms against that, and indeed, on the majority you cannot. Hint: It starts with an unlocked boot loader device, whilst the vast numbers are carrier locked (firmware, not possible to bypass w/o replacing the chip or re-burning it if it’s not). A tip, the newest phones are never supported, it takes a bit to ferret out all of the garbage. Select carefully, a good deal of privacy and or security OS’s aren’t. Due diligence is highly advisable, and I won’t post a tutorial here.

Allow me to be a bit more poignant about the endgame seemingly on our doorstep. Singular entity against a swarm, or groups to meet them with?
