Here at the Crimson Trace Midnight 3-Gun Invitational, Larry and Ken are showing off the new FNS-40 longslide. The version they brought has a nice black finish as opposed to the slick chrome finish on the 9mm version we’ve already seen. According to the guys, the FNS-40 longslide is going to ship before the 9mm version and should be hitting the shelves soon. MSRP, according to Ken, is going to be within $75 of the original FNS model. I had a chance to try it out and even though we were using full power 40 caliber loads, the gun felt like a 9mm. And then Chris Cerino went 9 for 10 hitting a steel plate at 100 yards with it, offhand. Ahhh, the sweet sweet accuracy of a cold hammer forged barrel.
fun. I’m thinking about an M&P pro, but maybe…
I have one .40 S&W firearm, but lots of .40 S&W ammunition.
You may have just solved my problem…
40 kicks ass during this ammo shortage
Amen!
I agree! .40 has been plentiful the whole time. It was also half of the price of 9mm or .45 in bulk at Cabelas last night.
I want one.
Darn it, I wanted FN to go the opposite way- make a more compact-frame gun. My FNX-9 has treated me pretty well, but it’s a weapon suited for duty and for the range, not concealment.
Do want, but in 9mm
