SHOT has been going on for three full days. We, your intrepid reporters, have walked miles around this show floor bringing you well over 120 articles about the goings on here in Las Vegas. American Rifleman tried to claim that they covered the show the best, but we all know who really took first place in that contest in terms of both volume and quality. It’s starting to take a toll on our writers — Chris Dumm has gone all Hunter S. Thompson on us and Dan Zimmerman (pictured under the table) I’m pretty sure needs some medical attention before he slips into an alcohol induced coma. We still have some articles to publish and some events to attend tonight, so if you’ll excuse me I have to make with the banana bag IVs and sober these guys up. We’ll see you tomorrow for the final day of SHOT Show 2012.

  1. And we thank you for your sacrifices. I’ve been checking my Google Reader two or three times a day to see the new shinies.

  2. You guys have done an amazing job of posting pics along with insightful description and commentary, something that eludes many SHOT posters. And you’ve done throughout the day at a pace that gives us something to chew on throughout the whole day.

    Many thanks!

  3. You guys have done a fantastic job wish I could get my significant other to approve such a trip. You guys wouldn’t happen to need a beer gofer? Would ya?

  4. Thanks for the update on what’s really going on. Please remind Hunter S. that it appears he is rapidly approaching his daily limit.

  5. Now boys……I for one could care less about your consumption and after all you are in Vegas. The quality of your reportng thus far is well worth the price of admission to this blog.

  6. Thanks for the indepth coverage. Yeah, the big gun magazines will have nice articles on the major manufacturers, but you guys sought out a lot of the small progressive companies that make interesting stuff. That plus the booth babe photos, and range videos makes me feel like I was almost there.

  7. Let me add my “attaboy” to the chorus.

In the past I’ve had to rely on the Gear Scout blog off of Army Times for what’s shakin’ at the SHOT show. And I checked them as well this time – but the breadth of coverage yall have provided has been excellent.

We the beneficiaries of your sacrifice applaud you.
