Honestly, the show took a back seat to the politics today. And for good reason. But that doesn’t mean that we didn’t deliver on our promise to provide the best coverage of SHOT Show period. It was a greuling slog to find the really interesting and new stuff at the show, and we’ve only covered less than a quarter of the booths. Expect more awesomeness tomorrow morning. But for now, scotch.

    • Yeah, I’m thinking this isn’t her first rodeo. Nice looking number, I’m sure she has oh so skilled hands, Randy

  1. Ah, I’m trying to relax with a scotch as well. I have a feeling I’ll be hello g at the TV tomorrow when Obama talks about “weapons of war” BS.

I’m drinking a budget Old Puteny 12 year. The 18 year old McCallan is long gone. The Trader Joes 18 year single malt is quite decent, and an incredible bargain.

Thank you for the coverage, by the way. I know there weren’t a lot of comments due to political concerns, but its nice to see the new designs without braving all of the crowds.

  2. The coverage has been great so far, and a welcome respite from the negative news on the political front.

  3. Aye. I quick bit of vodka and a toast to the late Mr. Browning. A design so great, even Cuomo can’t ban it.
    Cheers lads.

    • I am thinking about buying the Browning Semi-Auto 22 rifle next year. It holds 10 rounds of .22 LR and is loaded into a tube. Next year is the 100th anniversary of the gun. At $700 msrp, I think it’s too pricey. Still, I like it. Would this gun be considered an assault weapon under NY’s new law?

      • Pretty sure any firearm which accepts brass, aluminum or steel cartridge ammo with smokeless powder charge is an “assault weapon” in NY state now.

  4. I’m all in for Scotch, but tonight a nice fat Zin and a cigar…

Great job, now I have to figure out how to visit this site while at work tomorrow.
