While the MPX may technically be a PDW and sold as a pistol, our readers nevertheless decided that it was the perfect fit for the best new rifle of 2014. There’s no denying that the novel design and neat handling characteristics make it a winner, but it has yet to be seen i it will be a winner financially as well. Above, SIG SAUER’s manager for the MPX accepts the award from Dan.
Considering the CZ Scorpion is half the price for the exact same functionality, commercial success might be a pipe dream
why not just say the MCX is the best?
Ah the best rifle in a pistol caliber of the year 🙂 Still looks fun as hell to shoot.
Just a shout out, here- kudos to RF for presenting these awards.
Classy way to say thanks on behalf of readers,
and good PR for TTAG too.
You do know that’s Dan in the pic right? I’m taller.
And you probably don’t walk around with a pass that says “Dan Zimmerman.” Dead give away, that’s how I knew.
But I have better hair.
I don’t get how they can get an award for a gun that is not even out yet, is announced since years and for that their customer service is continuously lying about the status of the gun to the community.
TTAG is clearly kissing a** here and making the SIG guys even cockier than they became already.
They will see that the MPX will not be the big seller anymore it once could have been.
This would be the great time to link to TTAG’s old review of MPX:

Also, Nick! Looks like Rod Rakicz blew your privacy off by telling everyone one the Internet that you passed the Universal Checkout. Congratulations!
