Muzzle control could use a bit of work, but she is exercising good trigger discipline!
(Just posting this to get it out of the way ahead of the SafetySusies)
Cute kids!
Yea, the kids are showing better trigger discipline than some adults I have known.
Outrage in 3…2…1…
Ah, now I get it. It is for the children.
Wow, four comments have now posted without the anticipated outrage and ‘SafetySusies’. I’m impressed.
Awesome photo… love it!
Pet peeve of mine is when children are used for political statements. The side of the issue doesn’t matter. This seems as tasteless as the MDA moms using there kids as props. But…pretty cute picture.
I agree, in general I believe if you can’t make an argument based on facts, let a child make the argument and the emotional appeal will wash over critical thinking. However, I can almost (almost) give this a pass, because at 6 or 7, I was regularly shooting my father’s .22 and if you had told me that the CT .gov was taking their guns away, I would have posed for that picture without being asked.
Lighten up – it’s a cute pic.
But a lot of people aren’t going to get the message because their brains will stop at “omg kids with ARs!”. You’re trying to reach a broad audience, you need to avoid doing something that will turn more than half of them off at the start
RKBA and how crucial it is to a free nation… some of them will get it and some of them won’t. Frankly, those that you suppose will get turned off probably wouldn’t truly understand what freedom is all about if they had a million years to think about it. I’m not really of the ‘hearts and minds’ school of thought. IMHO, that’s hogwash. Desensitizing a general public works but if an individual can’t sort our what being free is all about with the abundance of information available to them today…
Not at all; I was shooting full sized rifles at 9 years old; when I see this picture; I see exactly why we as a country have been exceptional; we were training our kids from an early age to be responsible, take no guff and to “shoot small; miss small”.
When we stopped expecting our kids to be responsible and to stay as immature irresponsible children into adulthood and to look to government as surrogate parents. is when we went from exceptional to pathetic.
“Pet peeve of mine is when children are used for political statements.”
I would tend to agree. However, it seems just taking pictures of children with guns and posting the pics to public forums (FB, Twitter, etc.) is political, nowadays.
Also, how do you fight a culture war without involving kids? They’re the future of our culture, which is what the war is about.
The best thing to do is just teach them some facts and allow them to make their own decisions. Most parents can’t handle that and will basically tell them to believe what the parents believe. That’s still a lot better than using them as pawns to make a political statement. And that’s what this is.
Wish my pictures as a kid were this….. how do you say……… AWESOME!!!
I remember when I met my wife her mom showed me all her “baby” pictures. imagine my surprise if something like this came up lol
I smell a school suspension and lock down in the making..
I want to make a “gats and kids” joke, but I can’t.
It is a cute picture though.
Love the pile of P-mags between them.
I found that to be glorious as well.
I can’t tell if they’re loaded or not though, loaded would make it even better.
I can almost guarantee that the kids were not loaded — although the boy on the right does look a little bit buzzed.
Now that’s an idea…
Drunk pics of people with their guns in support of Conn.
“Keg stand strong, Connecticut.”
Oh, you.
What? No Cats and Dogs in support of Connecticut?
I could totally pull this off. I have one of those cats who will not give me the satisfaction of a reaction when I balance things on her head for yucks. Cell phone, pack of smokes, dirty old sock, bag of Doritos… I probably couldn’t balance the Mossberg on her head without some kind of tragedy, but I’ll bet the LCP would stay put.
Nah… only moderately cool. Awesome is here:

(Sorry… can’t help but brag. Great kid, overall.)
