I recently reviewed the Strike Industries Dual Fold Stabilizing Brace here on TTAG, and now Strike Industries has released a simplified version for folks that don’t need their brace to fold both ways. The new Strike Single Folder brings a couple other changes to the table as well, and comes at a lower price.
Strike FSA Single Folder
The new Strike FSA Single Folder still utilizes the same arm and stock end piece as the Dual Folder that I reviewed. It now has a strengthened hinge made of steel, instead of aluminum, making it extremely robust. Strike also tweaked the fitment so that there is little to no play when extended and folded. This folder only folds to a single side but can do so at any time without using a button. You simple lift up on the arm to fold it.
When the stock is in the folded position, the arm can just be thrown back into the extended position for quick deployment It has two QD points located at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions on the stock end piece for attaching a sling. The Single folder, is also compatible with Strike’s adjustable FSA Cheek Riser.
The Strike FSA Single Folder Adapter works with any weapon platform that has a rear-facing 1913 Picatinny rail. It’s attached simply by tightening a hex screw in the hinge adapter onto the pic rail or your weapon. The Single folder is 11oz. on it’s own, and 12.41oz with the cheek riser installed. MSRP on the Strike FSA Single Folder is $169.95, which is about $30 less than the Dual Fold version. You can also get the Single Folder in a braced Stabilizer Edition as well.
