Man Commits 10-Year Felony Going All “One Less” On His AR-15

The #OneLess movement is a thing. Maybe. For a couple folks, at least, who think destroying their own AR-15s will somehow prevent a psycho killer (qu’est-ce que c’est?) from getting one. Or, more likely, it’s just about sending a virtue signaling message. Except when it’s sending an “I’m a Federal felon message,” which is exactly … Read more

New From Franklin Armory: Reformation Non-NFA SBR-like Thing

In a somewhat vague teaser of a press release, Franklin Armory is announcing the Reformation. It’s a non-NFA line of “NRS firearms,” whatever those are (“Not a Rifle or Shotgun” is my guess), with an 11.5″ barrel and an actual buttstock. But it isn’t an SBR. And it isn’t a shotgun. Is it a .410 … Read more

A Modest Proposal on Resolving America’s Gun Rights Debate

Reader MO writes: I have a proposal to solve the bump stock issue (and hopefully the entire gun debate) where both sides will win through an intelligent, non-emotional compromise. I propose a horse trade, of sorts. Pro-gun and anti-gun people support legislation in Congress that: 1. Amends the National Firearms Act ’34 (NFA) and Gun Control … Read more

Gun Review: Serbu SUPER-SHORTY Shotgun

Serbu_SS_lead-pmg

For nearly 20 years, Mark Serbu’s SUPER-SHORTY has been the standard-bearer among the super-compact shotgun set. Built from either a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870 that started life with a pistol grip, the S-S is considered an “Any Other Weapon” (AOW) under NFA law, meaning a $5 tax stamp instead of $200 as with other NFA items. I’m really not sure if most people buy these just for screwing around and having fun or if it’s for more practical purposes, but I do know that the S-S is capable of filling both roles. . .

ATF Imposes Unofficial One-Year Waiting Period For Suppressor Transfers

courtesy canadaammo.com

Canadian shooters don’t exactly live in a gun-owner’s paradise. Still, the news isn’t all bad up there. That image isn’t Photoshopped: it’s the Dominion Arms ‘Grizzly’ 8.5″ shotgun. It holds five shots and for our friends in the Great White North it’s in stock now for just $449 Canadian. But only for Canadians. Importation of individual firearms into the US is . . .
