“At 16 months the implementation of the second phase of the Security Strategy Tamaulipas, nearly three thousand suspects have been arrested by federal and state forces for various offenses,” eldiariodesonora.com.mx reports. “The commanders of federal and state forces that make up the Coordination Group Tamaulipas reported that the fight against crime and insecurity is strengthened increasingly, allowing better results in safety.” The Tamaulipas Coordination Group (GCT) claims the cops and federales have . . .

arrested 2,976 suspects and seized 4,709 firearms (3,948 long guns and 761 handguns), 54,877 magazines, 1,384,605 cartridges of different calibers, 776 grenades, 23 rockets, 125 grenade launchers, 4,592 land vehicles and 1,214 slot machines. Yes well . . .

As Breitbart reported in June of last year, the Tamaulipas government is notorious for under- and non-reporting criminal activity. Would you tell the truth about the Tamaulipas? The area is home base for the Gulf Cartel, known for murdering journalists, politicians and rivals and corrupting officials throughout the region. Wikipedia tells us that . . .

[The Gulf Cartel’s] network is international, and are believed to have dealings with crime groups in Europe, West Africa, Asia, Central America, South America, and the United States. Besides drug trafficking, the Gulf Cartel operates through protection rackets, assassinations, extortions, kidnappings, and other criminal activities. The Gulf Cartel is known for intimidating the population and for being “particularly violent.”

The Gulf Cartel is fighting an ongoing war with our friends the Sinaloa Cartel (recipient of firearms via the ATF’s Fast & Furious program). In case you missed it, Tamaulipas is a free fire zone. Impressive as it may seem. the scalps and equipment claimed by the CGT are nothing more than window dressing.

In fact, one wonders how many of those confiscated firearms were held by citizens trying to defend themselves and their families from the carnage gripping the region. Pity the region’s autodefensas, the armed citizen militia trying to protect themselves against the cartels, the police, the military and their own government.

  1. If Tamaulipas is so bad, then why do so many people (including myself) got there so often without incident?

This article is useless. It panders to low IQ ammosexuals who are clueless.

And the Sinaloa Cartel and the well-publicized autodefensas groups are in another part of Mexico. Basic amateur mistakes of greaseballs that don’t understand Mexican geography.

  2. Wow! What did that guy in the foreground get hit with, Looks like half his head has been blown away. Is that a part of his brain laying there? OMG!

    • Please understand there’s a difference between “brains” and “a brain”.

A 12-gauge will do that, up close.

      • Yeah, but important safety tip nonetheless, Egon.

Don’t let someone else mix your anatomy with your geography.

    • Exit wound?

What I wanna know is, why isnt the white SUVs rear access door open? Conspiracy???

Man, if only those gangbangers would embark on a positive, impactful career, free from corruption — like a politician! Oh wait….

  3. So how many of the Syrian refugee’s did the cartel say they were gonna take??
Does the number start with a zero, and end in a zero?

  4. “776 grenades, 23 rockets, 125 grenade launchers”
I was told that Mexican cartels got their weapons from USA gun store though straw purchases. What gun stores are they getting these from? Come to think of it, I wonder how many fast and furious guns were in that 4,709 fire arms they picked up. I guess we’ll never know…………….

  5. My question is ultimately were these weapons taken from one group of people to be sold (bribing officials for weapons counts as selling, right?) to another. e.g. will they stay “confiscated.”
