The GSG-522 is imported from Deutschland, yet it accepts normal (more than 10 round) magazines. I think there’s more to it than this.
What about Glocks, SIGs, the XD/XDm series, the Berettas, etc, etc? And if it’s just rifles we’re talking about, what about FN rifles that take more than 10 rounds, such as the PS-90, the SCAR, or the FNAR?

As my casual knowledge on the matter goes,foreign made rifles such as the FN types have to be made partly in America to avoid the import law.Even CAI imports like the WASR have to imported as parts kits and then constructed stateside for sale.The GCA Regs are one reason why Beretta has delayed sale of its ARX series,as they can’t legally import them direct from Italy and their capacity at the USA plant in Maryland is at the limit.
Taurus could import the rifles, but then the company would have to double its customer service staff to deal with all the warranty claims.
