Taurus is bringing another contender into the US pistol caliber carbine market. The Taurus CT G2 will be available in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45 ACP. Currently jumping through the ATF’s hoops, Taurus hopes to be releasing the C2 in the U.S. this year. The carbine will come in between eight and nine pounds, with an MSRP “around” $700 – 800.” With built-in Picatinny rails and magwell fore grips, Taurus is taking the hint from accessories manufacturers and incorporating these “almost must haves” directly into the initial release.

  1. Looks kind of USC-like. Sure wish it had a threaded barrel, but if it is made in Brazil, it has to be 922r-neutered.

  2. Too bad Taurus is also taking their pricing cues from the inexcusably costly Beretta Storm carbine, instead of from the the Kel-Tec carbine.

  3. I had a cx4 long ago. Was neat since it was in battlestar and I did have some fun with it. Just hated the limited mag capacity as well as horrendous trigger. This was also when I was 18, still wish I had it for some of the modifications I could have done to it now to fix it up.

This actually interests me a fair bit. Final question is how low it actually hits shelves at as well as magazine options. (33rnd glock prz?) Also because of 922 and all that, does that mean it would be illegal to go and have the barrell threaded yourself? Oh well, something I can’t put a battlecomp on.
