I’m working on the full write-up right now, but before I do that I figured I’d post some pictures of the team from their runs at the 2013 Texas Multigun Championship. Enjoy!
I am curious about that “redneck ingenuity” mag mod. The SCAR doesn’t like SureFire 60’s?
He was using a SCAR 17S, in .308. It only takes FNH USA magazines, and they only make 20 rounders. It wasn’t long enough to reach the ground and give him a stable shooting position, so he made the magazines longer.
What a shame. Proprietary mags FTL. Again.
Just out of curiosity, why do you guys have scopes mounted instead of red dots or holographic sights?
Tac Optics is the division we usually run in, but Erik was running in Heavy Metal and Dianna was running in Open this time. Either way, a variable power scope is the better option for targets at multiple distances. If we were running limited, then a red dot would be all we could use.

Top pic dude: Bro, do you even lift?
I would look ridiculous in that shirt. Could I wear camo and still compete?
Here’s something for Defensive Gun Use of the Day if you haven’t heard of it yet (with an AR-15):
