Interesting that this clip sits on rightwingwatch.com’s YouTube channel. Which means, of course, that not all of the comments are pro-Ted. Here’s my fave: “**** YOU TED!!! You are SO SO Far OFF THE MARK, You IDIOT!!! Did you know that Obama lifted GW Bush’s ban on loaded guns in National Parks! YOU PIECE OF ****! You were probably one of the NRA MORONS in Yellow stone Protesting Obama on the Day he lifted Bush’s ban EXPANDING YOUR GUN RIGHTS!! Where were you when Bush was WIPING HIS ASS WITH THE CONSTITUTION!, I have Just Smashed my DBBL LIVE HYPOCRITE cd, YOU are a MORON!! Go Spoon with Roach LardBall YOU COMMUNIST!” Oh did I mention that Ted thinks the President should be put down like a dog? Well, a coyote. Or something like that. Make the jump for more Motor City Madman madness . . .

Love what Ted stands for, and his fiery enthusiasm…of course all the libs are going to point at this and start crying.
What I find fascinating about such vitriolic comments as the one you copied is, a) that people think that’s fine in today’s society, b) that people fail to realize/appreciate that is their Constitutionally provided right to say such things, and c) that somehow Bush’s Constitutional indiscretions make O’s okay. I don’t know about you guys, but my momma always taught me that two wrongs don’t make a right.
O in the meantime signed HR347 into law that makes it possible for the Secret Service (insert hooker joke here) to charge any citizen with a felony (which carries a year in the poky and lose all your gun rights) for nothing more than exercising their First Amendment rights near a politician or anyone to whom SS protection is extended. So if you stand across the street from O (or his campaign manager) and protest, he can have you arrested and ruin your year.
Sorry, but O is trampling the Constitution, and we’re letting him. That is a shame.
On the Nuge issue, his point was that if an administration can get away with anything as brazen as Fast&Furious (which they have clearly gotten away with along with MSM assistance), no one is safe. I’d say he’s right, no matter how controversial his delivery or person.
Thanks for letting me have a say.
Agreed!
You can’t say that Ted ever makes an effort to be PC and his tone is a bit harsh for general public consumption. You also can’t take everything he said about the current administration literally which many libs of course are doing.

Ted doing what he does best!
Ah, youtube comments…truly as comprehensive an example of today’s public education system as you could ask for. The general melding of stupidity, horrible grammar, and all around ignorance of fact is truly a marvel of modern shame. Yup, this is the future.
And I don’t see anything wrong with Nugent. Besides, you’ll find FAR more uncivilized vitriol from Progressives and their drones every time simply because of what Progressives are: spoiled children, wannabe tyrants, criminals, and/or generally indecent people. Experts at the soft exterior and rotten interior.
Far more uncivilized vitriol? sort of like this?
“You probably can’t use the term ‘toxic c*nt’ in your magazine, but that’s what she (Hilary Clinton) is.”
or
“Besides, apartheid isn’t that cut-and-dry. All men are not created equal.”
There is not one good side and one bad side.
While you continue to quote one person, I would compile a list of the horrors that leftists have said over the years, but I don’t have 8 hours to spare.
And the fact that you think there’s no good side or bad side is pretty sad. Just show’s the over-tolerance culture that has made this a country of politically-correct weaklings.

Silver, I would hate to have either of us spend eight hours compiling hideous and abusive quotations from both side of the political spectrum (and since this was an article about Terrible Ted, why would I quote anyone else). The problem is that too many people, regardless of their political beliefs, would rather spew garbage than engage in thoughtful discourse.
While you see PC as an emasculating problem that must be fought, I see some good coming from it. I like that truly hateful words are not used as freely as they once were. Are there excesses? Of course, and when PC is stupid, it should be called that.
lol @ Ted’s views on apartheid.
Whatever the impact Apartheid South Africa had on geopolitics, despite the fact that it was in a de facto alliance with the USA against the far worse threat of Soviet Russia, and no matter what the failings of the successor regime in South Africa (and those failings are considerable,) one thing is pretty clear:
Apartheid — or any system where people are politically oppressed because of an irrelevant characteristic such as ethnicity — WAS a pretty cut-and-dried moral issue.
It is entertaining to see people blustering because someone dares point out that, in the past, Ted Nugent has said at least one thing that is wrong.
The fact that there are leftists who have said things at least equally as asinine does not excuse Mr. Nugent. And we fail if we don’t police ourselves well enough that charlatans and fools are allowed to present themselves as the public face of the movement to protect the right to keep and bear arms.
The fine print to Obama’s “expansion” of our gun rights is that he merely reversed prior bans. I don’t think he particularly wanted to “re-allow” National Park Carry, but it was attached to other, unrelated legislation.
It really bothers me when the anti-crowd crows about how this very minor measure demonstrates his RKBA bona-fides.
Just like Hilary Rosen took the Barry campaign off message with the Ann Romney comments, Nugent will do the same to the Romney campaign. If you have a circus freakshow act as your spokesman, be prepared to lose a lot of potential voters. Real smart move Ted.
As for his bombast of being dead or in jail next year..etc…Just like Alex Baldwin leaving the US, its all Celebrity BS. He will be neither. He is going to be pumping out TV shows and shilling for a thousand companies next year.

Ted has a right to support whomever he wants, and to be honest I’ll probably always have a degree of respect for him. His decision to support Romney dumbfounds me though. Ted is someone who admittedly “bleeds freedom”, yet he’s going to support a politician with a track record of violating the Constitution and allowing it to be violated.
Even if you think Romney has turned over a new leaf in regards to the 2nd Amendment, he’s still an unapologetic supporter of the Patriot Act and other provisions that violate the Constitution. Heck when he was asked about congress declaring war he mentioned something about consulting lawyers about it, which to me is a pretty good indicator that Romney doesn’t exactly know the Constitution.
In a perfect world or even a very good one, Romney wouldn’t be my first choice. Then again, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
…but only until he becomes my enemy.
That’s what I was told about W until he essentially formally criminalized being american. Along with all the other insane leftie crap he pulled. Obama is basically a third term W without opposition from the left.
he essentially formally criminalized being american
Jake, what in god’s name are you talking about?
You’re all big boys, I don’t need to explain to you how much W shredded the constitution after getting elected on promises of peace and sound money, look it up. Or just use simple recollection, Patriot Act anyone? There have been rants on this very site about overreaches by Obama that are essentially carrying the baton that was passed by W. Every day I say to the lefties just because W was bad doesn’t mean Obama is good for doing the same things. Swap that, and you have my present argument.
“Along with all the insane lefty cap he pulled.”
Jake, what in god’s name are you talking about?
I like Ted, but anyone that is seriously looking at Ted for in-depth political analysis needs help.
I constantly see comments about how Romney isn’t a good choice. You will have two choices in November that matter and one will win. I’ll take Mitt over the current any day of the week.
Awww yes, the illusion of choice. I’ll vote by conscience, again, and “throw away” my vote, I suppose.

The only thing that has me considering voting for Romney (aka White Obama) is that he MIGHT put better judges on the supreme court than Obama (aka Black Obama) will – all other policies will likely be identical.
I love how the anti-gun folks are always the angriest, most vitriolic people out there, while gun owners tend to be a bit more respectful and freindlier.
A lot of antis are antis because they project their own unsuitability for gun ownership on the population at large.
boekfk, you truly do not think that Ted spews vitriol every bit as ugly as the anti-gun folk?
And yet you don’t see how you just compared one person to an entire movement. Yup, there’s one vitriolic pro-gun guy, therefore, gun-owners as a whole are just as bad as antis. Incredible.
One may firmly defend his right to speak his mind.
One may respect, and even sympathize, with his passion.
One may also think, however, that in the fight to convince those in the middle that we’re the sane side of the argument that this sort of thing is unhelpful.
Perhaps a bad choice of words, he should have said in preamble, “I respectfully offer my unpolished opinion………”. Besides, only Socialist Democratic Party Members are allowed unbridled ranting…………
I may agree or disagree with Ted, yes ok he is a bit fiery and not always PC but that is because he is passionate about what he believes in. What’s wrong with that?
I am sure if Ted were to sit down with some folks both pro and anti gun there could be constructive discussion about a vast many points. He has a right to say what he wants, you can agree or agree to disagree on principle or other.
I’ve heard far worse than what Nugent said from the left and they get a “free speech” pass.
AHAHHA… *Citation Needed*
I wish Ted Nugent would just fade away like other 1-hit wonders. Do we really need hyperbolic “entertainers” speaking for us–on any topic?
LeftShooter, Ted doesn’t speak for “us.” He certainly doesn’t speak for me. He speaks for himself. Doesn’t he have that right?
Maybe, but he is identified as a board member of the NRA, and you and I identify as NRA instructors, right? If true, you and I can get sprayed with the blowback against him.
Also, Ralph, if you recall, some time ago we disagreed about whether people who do stupid things with guns hurt us all. I said yes and I think you thought no. If I’m correct about that, then you and I just need to agree to disagree.
That said, I still value your humor and legal perspective, and would shoot with you anytime.
I love The Nuge, but admitted this comment went way too far. He is going to make lots of allies that he already had, and he will alienate the moderates who we need.
Ted is never boring.
Say anything you want about Nuge, but you have to admit that he’s
totally f^cking nutsoutspoken.Ted be passion about his gun rights want to defend them. I think what he said was any thing more offensive than if turn on Msnbc hear about how they talk about Nra and any one that has guns or those who support them. I have heard thing from ant gun people that worst than what Ted said. Yet no one rushing in invegate New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg .
Ted was call out people vote. Try inspire them get out vote. He may lost few people way he did but point was simple those want gun rights need come out vote for them. Those want end up live in Australia style or England style goverment that does give right owen guns vote for Obama or do not vote all. Obama may did nothing on frist term on guns but he well have lose on second term when attacks are gun right if get second term. To nay sayer this well not happen remind them of this.
Urban policy agenda of President ObamaShortly after the November 4, 2008 election, Change.gov, the website of the office of then President-Elect Barack Obama, listed a detailed agenda for the forthcoming administration. This includes “making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.”[17] This statement was originally published on Barack Obama’s campaign website, BarackObama.com.[18] When President Obama took office on January 20, 2009, the agenda statement was moved to the administration’s website, WhiteHouse.gov, with its wording intact.[19][20]
On February 25, 2009, the newly sworn-in Attorney General, Eric Holder, repeated the Obama Administration’s desire to reinstate the Federal Assault Weapons Ban.[21] The mention came in response to a question, about 20 minutes into a joint press conference with DEA Acting Administrator Michele Leonhart, discussing efforts to crack down on Mexican drug cartels. Attorney General Holder said: “[…] there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons.”[22]
However on April 16, 2009, President Obama stated that he will not push for the reinstatement of the Assault Weapons Ban in the United States even though he still believes that it “made sense”. Obama has proposed instead to ratify an inter-American treaty known as CIFTA (Inter-American Convention Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Other Related Materials) to curb international small arms trafficking. The treaty makes the unauthorized manufacture and export of firearms illegal and calls for nations in this hemisphere to establish a process for information-sharing among different countries’ law enforcement divisions to stop the smuggling of arms, to adopt strict licensing requirements, and to make firearms easier to trace.[23
My understanding was that the Park Service lifted the ban on firearms… not the President. Additionally I could have sworn I was reading about them getting the ball rolling on that during the Bush years. However, I truly don’t have the time to go fact checking… so if anyone wants to jump in here and correct me please do.
Protip: Do the research first, then make a factual assertion later.
LOL – when they agree with it it had absolutely nothing to do with Obama. When they disagree, it was 100% Fascist Dictator Obama’s fault. Just like the wing-nuts trying to fault Obama for the Secret Service advance team hiring hookers and getting caught.
When will citizens understand that the President is not the “King” of America? He doesn’t control gas prices, taxes, nor Constitutional rights. There’s a reason we have three branches of government. Aim your anger at the idiots in the Congress. They have been a complete failure (both sides).
I’m beyond surprised that Nugent would support Romney….
Who is falling for this guy?
As a liberal who owns a number of firearms and supports protection of the second amendment (yes, we do exist!) I can tell you with confidence that whack jobs like Nugent take it WAY too far and ruin it for the rest of us. His idiotic, violent, and dangerous comments do nothing but antagonize anti-gun people and give them very strong firepower (pun intended) to use against the rest of us. If you really care about gun rights you should condemn people like Nugent who try to insight violence (and nearly commit felonies by threatening the life of the President). It’s one thing to get people to get out and vote – its another thing to advocate violence against fellow citizens who you happen to disagree with.
And yeah, Romney doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. The Republicans don’t even like him. They’re even having a hard time pretending that they like him. Even though I’ll vote for the incumbent, I’d still prefer a better race. Romney’s a dud.
