Axe me no questions . . . Except this: when oh when are we going to have common sense axe control? The Young Turks have been calling for gun control in all its forms since they hit the ‘net. Why not axes? Click here to read the full story. [h/t Icabodwa]
No talent axe clowns
Hahahahaha. Well met.
Be sure of your target and what’s behind it. Clearly a violation here. Don’t blame the axe. Blame the thrower.
I wouldn’t even blame the thrower here. I would blame the set’s production manager, and his/her safety officer. Seriously, who stands people behind a range target?
This (idiot who should have known better) guy is/was essentially a “new shooter”, and was told to step up to the line and shoot, so to speak. He was given no safety instructions or guidance, and an accident was the result. And luckily axes have a wider margin for error (not as wide as you’d think, though) and this musician was not permanently hurt or killed.
The guy who threw the axe is an Iraq War combat vet.
Unless he’s the son of Gimli, I doubt he was throwing axes on the battlefield. Same principle of projectile weapons, but different dynamic that requires grating him like a novice.
(I was shooting bows in his back yard next to the house, with a with a friend last week, with our house 10 feet behind the target posted on fence – I don’t do that with my pistol)
A woman at the supermarket was distracted looking for something on a shelf and she bumped into my with her cart.
Naturally, it was the cart’s fault. I immediately wrote the supermarket and demanded some common sense measures to keep shopping carts out of the hands of just anyone.
Common sense is good for all sorts of things. Anyone can see that the tiny backstop is obviously intended for professional use (although, why NOT make it bigger?) and there are people everywhere. I don’t think any of us would attempt that throw if given the chance.
For a guy who names his show after some genocidal nationalists Cenk Uygur sure slings a lot of mud.
Who else except genocidal nationalists would call for gun control? Seems like a very appropriate name.
Magnificent reply.
“Axe me no questions . . .”
rasis.
I still want to know what idiot thought this was a good idea, and whether or not they’re still working for this outfit.
The Young Turks are complete boot-licking statists; they even approved of Michelle Obama’s common-sense high-school food-portion control, feeding 270-lb linebackers the same amount as 70-pound chess-club nerds
Woah, they’re like a state-sponsored version of The Monkees, or something!
These Turkeys are a bunch of hysterical little girls. It didn’t come close to killing the guy.
The Young Turk show is run by idiots. Why would anyone watch this crap ? A lot of talk about nothing relevent to anything important. The guy on the show acts like he is smarter than anyone else but comes across as very stupid.
Fox News is no different than any other news or media outlet just a different spin. Just a different bunch twisting the truth for their audience.
Is that what you tell yourself when you watch the YT and MSNBC, Jon Stewart et al?
I’d feel bad for the Sargent hit if he actually got injured. Try explaining that to his comrades at a VA recovery ward.
“Sargent, what happened to your arm? IED?”
“No, got hit by an axe in Times Square.”
“Did you try and stop a terrorist attack.”
“No, moron newscaster threw it.”
“Do you get a purple heart for that?”
“F#ck you, private.”
“Yes, sir.”
Quite the “Bashing Fox News” segment.
That guy’s a libtard douche. Lacking a strong connection between brain and mouth.
We have to do something about these assault axes! AND machetes! And rocks ….
