Nick Leghorn

Even if you were never a leatherneck, there’s a good chance you know the Rifleman’s Creed. Or at least part of it. You saw Full Metal Jacket, right? Our I Am a Gun Owner series showed — in no uncertain terms — that America’s gun owners aren’t, in fact, just the camo-clad backwoods OFWG caricatures the gun control industry likes to paint. Actually, we’re anything but.

So now, with a lot of the focus of civilian disarmament efforts aimed at “military-inspired weapons of war,” it should be instructive to see what The People of the Gun really look like along with their favorite rifle. An no, it doesn’t have to be an AR or AK. Or even black.

Just be sure to include the reasons why your rifle is important to you. Send your This is My Rifle statement photo to [email protected] with the word RIFLE (all caps) in the subject bar. Let us know if you want us to use your name, a screen nic or remain anonymous. Again, we’ll post them here and start a new album on our Facebook page. Thanks.

  1. Nice!

In case someone asks “why do you need a silencer?”. Answer” Why do they put mufflers on cars?

  2. I’m sure this has been answered somewhere in your myriad threads, but I’m asking anyway. What kind of quad rail is that? I’m specifically curious about the smooth rail covers, and if they’re specific to the rail or universal.

  3. Nick definitely gets the award for the coolest Pmag ever. He’s alright even if he won’t do an FNH-FNS-9 review. I can’t say I’m shocked that Nick’s favorite rifle is a 300 BLK.

    • It’s clear from the IAAGO series that there are more than a few folks reading TTAG who are likely to appreciate the aesthetic value of Nick’s throw pillows.

Personally, I was more interested in the tattooed mag in his AR. 😉

  4. I didn’t realize that Nick was 12 years old! He writes like a grown-up! 😉 (I’m just jealous ‘cuz I’m turning 50 this year.)

Nice rifle. Hmmm… should I send in a rifle pic? My “I’m a gun owner” photo never made the cut. 🙁

    • It wasn’t that it didn’t make the cut. We just had more than we could post in the allotted time. I’ll be posting the rest of the pics we’ve received to the Facebook gallery, yours included.
