I’ve never had the pleasure of sampling an In-N-Out Burger burger, but they sure seem to have a have a devoted following. So devoted, in fact, that cops had to shoo drive-thru customers away when they continued to wait in the line at an In-N-Out in Pinole, CA in the Bay Area even after a shooting took place almost in front of them. Seems the blood and gore wasn’t enough to put them off their dinner. Not that dinner, anyway. Next time I’m in the land of milk and honey, I’ll definitely take Donny’s advice cruise on by one.

  1. Even before eVerify, they hired American teens. If I’m in the mood for a fast food burger, I head there. Double-Double animal style, fries well, strawberry shake.

  2. It is the “Secret Menu” that makes the difference. Although, it was a much better burger back in the 60s.

In-N-Out Burger – Special Lingo. Don’t be a dork, order your Burgers in “In-N-Out ish”

Many of you have eaten at, know of, or seen an In-N-Out Burger. Mostly in the west, California, Arizona, Nevada, this chain has a long history and their burgers are delicious……. But many many do not know that In-N-Out has an unpublished menu that their regulars use and if you want to order something a bit different and be coolio… Use these phrases to order your burgers, fries and shakes.. n-N-Out Burger has a secret unpublished menu for insiders who are In-The-Know. Next time you’re at In-N-Out (i.e. tomorrow . . . or maybe tonight), order a bag of these off-the-menu specials: *Note: You can get a burger with as many meat patties or cheese slices as you want. Just tell the In-N-Out Burger cashier how many meat patties and how much cheese you want and that is what you’ll get! For instance, if you want 6 pieces of meat and 10 pieces of cheese tell them you want a “6-by-10.” The friendly employees of In-N-Out Burger will take your special order without question, if you use the right terminology. The printed receipt will have your special request typed on it just as we said it. Try it!
    1. “3-by-3” = three meat patties and three slices of cheese.
    2. “4-by-4” = four meat patties and four slices of cheese.
    3. “2-by-4” = two meat patties and four slices of cheese.* By now you get the picture on the x by x. Your burger will come with that many patties of meant and cheese slices..For example if you want 11 patties and 10 pieces of cheese tell them you want a “11-by-10.” But I really don’t know you might eat it.
    4. “Double Meat” = like a Double Double without cheese.
    5. “3 by Meat” = three meat patties and no cheese.
    6. “Animal Style” = the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added.
    7. “Animal Style Fries” = fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles (gotta ask for the pickles).
    8. “Protein Style” = for all you low-carbohydrate dieters, this is a burger with no bun (wrapped in lettuce).
    9. “Flying Dutchman” = two meat patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else – not even a bun!
    10. Fries “Well-Done” = extra crispy fries . . . even better than the regular!
    11. Fries “Light” = opposite of fries well-done, more raw than most people like ’em
    12. “Grilled Cheese” = no meat, just melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on a bun.
    13. “Veggie Burger” = burger without the patty or cheese. Sometimes we call this the “Wish Burger.”
    14. “Neapolitan” Shake = strawberry, vanilla and chocolate blended together.

  3. This is the greatest thing ever, dinner and a show for about $6. Why leave?
Besides, In-N-Out is the only large burger chain that doesn’t get their meat from massive slaughter houses, even there eco-liberals admit that In-N-Out burgers are healthier for you.
They also print Bible verses on the bottom inside of their drink cups. Just check under the cup on the rim next time you get a drink.

  4. The shooting took place just after 5 PM and the cops didn’t close the restaurant till 7:15? 2 hours later? Does In-and-out serve donuts?

  5. The burgers are ‘meh’. Then again, I don’t like fast food. I do have fond memories of going there, after a couple hours at the range, with a friend (RIP) who taught me how to shoot pistols.

  6. As to California being the “land of milk and honey,” Christopher Isherwood more accurately put it, “California is a tragic Country – like Palestine, like all promised lands.” So true, especially the Bay Area.

    • So true, so true! Sadly, it was not always this way. A sleeping populace allowed the Left to take over, CA died from there!

  7. I’ve been to In-and-Out and it does have a cult following. I find the burgers to be similar to Johnny Rockets.
