TrackingPoint was a huge hit at last year’s Texas Firearms Festival. And they’ll be back this year, debuting a new rifle. But they were so popular last year that ticket holders waited hours for trigger time behind a TrackingPoint Precision-Guided Firearm. That was bad. Unfortunately, there was only one line for all the firearms on the rifle range. So TP’s success gummed-up the entire range. For the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill on November 14 and 15, we’ve changed the SB Tactical Rifle Range line protocol to avoid a repeat of last year’s deeply regrettable delay . . .
There are now separate lines for each manufacturer at the SB Tactical Rifle Range. Ticket holders can shoot (and buy) guns from Bergara, Leupold, TrackingPoint, Daniel Defense, Blaser, LWRC, Battle Rifle Company, Zion Armament, Henry Repeating Rifles and Sons of Liberty. [Click here for links to their websites.] You choose which gun you’d like to shoot and then line-up in front of the manufacturer’s table, situated at the entrance to the SB Tactical Rifle Range.
The manufacturer’s rep escorts you to their SB Tactical Rifle range shooting position. You shoot their gun or guns, then return to the front of the Range to either choose another rifle company’s table or head off to the bays to fire someone else’s “come and shoot it” firearms. Or check out the 40+ retailer at The Range at Austin Retail Village. Or shop at the Sportsman’s Finest gun store tent. Or try your hand at the Texas State Rifle Association Pistol Range. Or refuel at a food truck. Or sample other attractions.

Let me be clear: there still may be a long wait to shoot a TrackingPoint Precision-Guided Firearm. Getting to grips with the revolutionary “Tag-And-Shoot” rifle is a coveted notch on the belt of any firearms enthusiast. But you’ll be able to eyeball the TP line and ask yourself, should I stay or should I go? And return later, if need be. You can also opt out, sample another rifle, then check the TP line again.
The Texas Firearms Festival is dedicated to providing Shooter and VIP ticket holders with easy and efficient access to all the firearms in all of the bays and Ranges. We’ve limited ticket sales and added exhibitors to keep lines short. Once again, we’re stationing line managers at every shooting position, charged with keeping things moving along in an efficient, orderly and fair manner. We’re completely confident that you’ll leave the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival having fired all the guns you want to shoot in a friendly, safe environment.
We’re proud to welcome a reinvigorated TrackingPoint back to the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival. Come and shoot it!
