The National Defense Industry Association is the trade group that deals with the military and their toys. And just like the NSSF (the civilian firearms industry trade group), the NDIA puts on an annual trade show with a live fire demonstration tacked on so that military leaders can get their hands on the latest and greatest military hardware and figure out what they want to buy for the troops at the pointy end of the spear. It was here last year that I saw the .300 BLK cartridge in action for the first time, fired my first grenade launcher, and played with more machine guns than I had ever seen before. And this week I’m going back for seconds. Make the jump for some of the other videos from that trip, and watch this space for more NDIA related posts.

  1. Sigh. And in another 15 or 20 years, we Nasty Gurls might see some of those shinies. In the meantime, I’ll go back to qualifying with my dusty, trusty M-16A2.
