During TTAG’s first month of operation (February 2010), this website generated 106 unique page views. Last month, we generated 2,978,538 page views. [ED: Fun fact, we now generate more pageviews in a single day than we did in our whole first year of operation] Today, we crested 30m total unique page views (since launch). We achieved this milestone by telling the truth about guns. Which we will continue to do. No holds barred. Meanwhile, a big hat tip to our readers, commentators, writers and editors. I am proud of what we’ve created—what we continue to create here. I promise that I will do everything I can to earn your participation in this exploration of the ethics, morality, business, politics, culture, technology, practice, strategy, dangers and fun of guns.
Great news!! Keep up the great work, guys!
Woot woot!
Please explain the shotgun on the doorknob, and more specifically, the two loose shells on the ground.
I’m guessing that the knob jams on the shotty’s magazine tube, with the recoil pad preventing the gun from sliding. Might stop (or at least slow) someone from gaining forcible entry, but it seems like that situation would preclude the rapid deployment of said shotty. The shells, I have no guess.
Sometimes a shotgun is just a shotgun.
You obviously haven’t been paying attention to the Brady’s. All guns are symbolic penises, and we should be more afraid of all the people running around with these symbolic penises than of the people who want to remove them. 😉
For fvck’s sake! Can we PLEASE get the dammed sex/spam filter fixed?!
@Rob, et al.:
Keep it up, but be careful. Generate too much ad revenue and Nick and the rest will be bucketmouthing for a cut. 😉
On a more serious note, when will we be able to properly put ana-lysis in our comments?
Seriously, can we get a whitelist of words that are not spam put into the spam filter?
I’ll start.
ana-lysis
coc-ked
good for the dogs, they chose a shotgun for home defense. Now we have to teach them safe gun storage.
My comment was posted under the name undefined? Odd first time that’s happened.
second part of my comment was : Does this mean TTAG is now the 800 pound pro gun gorilla in the room.
Not surprised in the least. This space is the fresh West Wind of gun sites.
Outstanding.
Nice dogs. Shottie is kinda blurry to me, though.
Great work guys. Congratulations to all and especially to you Robert, the editors, and writers. How about identifying the guns used in future photos if possible?
That shotgun looks like a Mossberg 590A1. We should have a “geuss that gun” article type with blurry pictures of guns.
Thank you.
A+
You went from 2.9 million to 30 million in a month. Is that a typo or or did we put up 27 million + comments in such a short period of time?
2.9 million last month dude, 30 million since launch in 2010.
MY bad, had to re-read it.
Sincere congrats. And thanks for the free wheeling comments section.
yes, this is very cool news, ttag is among the best out there.
Congratulations on the milestone. TTAG is a page I bring up every morning to read. I enjoy it all and look forward to pages yet written!
Good news, keep the good work going.
To use the vernacular:
w00t.
Keep the Good Work!
So does the bigger dog hold the shotgun and the little one pull the trigger?
Nice work TTAG!
And those are some good looking pups.
I’m a web developer and SEO expert. I build traffic to sites for a living.
Getting numbers like that is impressive and difficult to do.
Congratulations on your success. It took a lot of hard work and tenacity. Fine job.
