“Death threats, stoked by social media and encouraged by international groups of activists, have caused butchers and farmers to ‘live in fear.’ Marlow Butchers, in, Ashford, Kent, was targeted earlier this month by activists who daubed red paint on the doors and windows of the shop.” That’s the report from the UK’s Telegraph. In a nation of disarmed subjects with no legal right to armed self-defense — even in their own homes — radical groups can threaten and intimidate those with whom they disagree with impunity.

“We live in fear and we’re up worrying at night – they are terrorising us.”

The family has reported the threats to the police.

Tim Bonner, Chief Executive of the Countryside Alliance told The Telegraph: “There’s been an escalation of attacks on butchers, markets, and even abattoirs and it’s an extension of animal rights campaigns we have seen around other areas, using the same tactics including online abuse.

“They usually attack small independent businesses rather than taking on the big boys – it’s quite cowardly.”

Butchers, of course, have no shortage of knives. But even those tools would be blunted if one UK judge has his way in a nation with an organized knife control movement.

Armed self-defense is a natural, universal human right. One that most nations limit or eliminate, the better to control their populations. We’d all do well to remember that we have plenty of activists and politicians that would like nothing more than to replicate that same sorry state of affairs here.

  1. So OK to kill plants…other living things…but not animals…hmmmm
this is vandalism and destruction of private property…not protesting

      • Socialist paradise. You can tell cause the fascists are free to terrorize at will.

    • They have some kind of misguided notion that animals live quiet peaceful lives and never die except from old age, and that is why butchers / ranchers / hunters are immoral sadistic murderers.

      • I’ve yet to see a moral rancher, not that they don’t exist, but I have yet to see one that actually takes care of their animals rather than dumping a bunch of cows on a piece of leased land, leaving carcasses to rot, etc.

        • Let’s see your definition of a moral rancher who does more than let his cattle roam and eat at will.

I doubt there are any long time ranchers who think it good policy to just let dead cattle rot in place.

In fact, I think you have no experience with cattle ranchers at all.

        • What?! Their livestock whether it be cattle, pigs, or whatever is their livelihood. They cost money and when one dies they have lost money. They certainly do not leave them lying around to rot. Do the coddle them like pets? No! but they feed then well, and take care of their health to insure they mature and can be sent to market.

        • I can’t swing a dead carrot without hitting moral ranchers. Where the heck is that rock you’re under?

        • Get this lying POS troll out of here. Hoe you choke to death blowing your fellow vegan. “Never seen a nice rancher”. GFY, you pansy-assed commie freakzoid walking zit.

    • Plants aren’t exactly sentient.

Although eating horses before cattle would be a step up, since cows are smarter than horses. But Horses are aesthetically pleasing, so they landed a pet position, despite being windowlickin stupid.

      • That’s fake news. Horses are easily smarter than cows. Horses also have several uses beyond consumption, but you’re to stupid to know how they’ve been used historically. Go back to to your PETA meeting. And by the way, they DO eat horses in Britain you ninny.

      • *sigh* No, it has nothing to do with horses being pretty. It stems from horses being used to do work. They have historically been more valuable alive than cooked. The same reason dogs are pets instead if dinner, except with dogs it’s less of a legacy and more current.

        • It wasn’t all that long ago, as things go, since National Geographic Magazine had a (minor) furor over a photo showing two Chinese men discussing the price of a puppy being sold as food.
Of course, in China, that is (or was) a normal thing, but here, it was seen as barbaric. Culture clash defined.

    • Exactly. Who can definitively say that plants don’t feel pain, don’t have souls. Hypocrites

  2. Dan wasn’t kidding about them seriously entertaining ideas of blunting knives with points. It’s getting seriously bat-shit insane over there :

“”You will never get rid of stabbings. There have always been stabbings, there always will be stabbings,” he said. “All I’m trying to do it to reduce the numbers killed.”

    Sound familiar?

  3. Can butcher’s at least have cricket bats?!? Meat tenderizers? A banana?😄 How about pretend they’re Moose-lims?

    • No, not Muslims. Muslims are a protected class. Recently, an Arabic reporter (not sure which country of origin) was arrested for TRUTHFULLY reporting on an on-going trial of a Muslim grooming gang, allegedly for “hate speech.”

        • Caged for reporting about an on going trial to convict pedophile rapists is how England shows they are not a tyrannical government yet. England’s government doesn’t even need guns to oppress their subjects because the peasants have been trained like animals to accept getting screwed outside and inside jail.

      • I wasn’t sure it wasn’t goat fornicating Militant Vegans,Aloha Snackbars all around.

      • And we can note that the militant vegans have rather conspicuously avoided making similar protests at Muslim Halal butchers. Wonder why?

      • In Britain, it’s illegal to report on an ongoing trial, which is exactly what Robinson was doing. He knew full well it was illegal to do that.
I’m not saying is arrest was wrong or right, but that it was legal. There.
He wasn’t arrested for “hate speech,” allegedly or otherwise.
Free speech, as we know it, as well as freedom of the press, doesn’t exist in Britain, and many other countries.

  4. when the UK started disarming people [ Their guns]after that the thugs just switched to Louisville slugger baseball bats .What did the UK do ,they banned the import of bats, next thing you know people will be eating with plastic table ware. Cain did not need anything but a rock to kill Able,so will the UK ban rocks?

  5. Do you have any idea how many living creatures are killed by plowing up fields and harvesting the vegetables?
Innocent insects, moles, mice are murdered for your death vegetables!

    • ‘Innocent’ moles, my ass.

Have you ever had one tear your yard up? Ended up using the ‘ole pipe attached to the tailpipe to gas it to death to get rid of it.

      Little furry bastard…

  6. When there’s no more law, whoever’s the biggest thug wins. It’s almost like that’s what they’re gunning for (sic).

When there’s no more arms, whoever’s the biggest wins. It’s like they haven’t thought that part through.

  7. Just another example of the insanity of the Left. More proof that liberalism is indeed a mental disorder.
Nothing the left does is logical or makes any common sense. One has to be mentally unbalanced subscribe to this kind of illogical and moronic thought process.

  8. Wait, what? A bit of spray paint is “terrorism” in England? Geez, even the butchers in Blighty are a bunch of hopeless twits.

  9. Just change over to a halal butcher shop and all will be good. Any vegans who attack them then would be prosecuted for hate crimes.

  10. Laws or not, until they figure out a better way to butcher, it’s pretty much one of the last places they will have large sharp blades.

  11. What to do? Punch a vegan in the eye and then offer him a raw steak to put on the shiner.
