The Collaboration

Enter Watchtower adding one more to the collection, not just any T&E gun for Matt to review or destroy something with, no, this is one to write home about. Nevertheless, Matt will no doubt shoot the hell out of it and try to blow something up. This is Demolition Ranch after all. Regardless, the Demolition was designed to embody the performance characteristics, style and precision engineering for which Watchtower is quickly becoming known. This is a firearm any enthusiast will appreciate whether it is used on the range or set in the display cabinet.

Top End

The Demolition is a unique firearm with extraordinary attention to detail. A finely tuned double-stack 1911, this collector’s piece features a 5-inch ramped 416R V10 ported barrel that promises a flat shooting experience with a near-perfect return to zero. Engineered to deliver incredible accuracy, control and reduced recoil, the Demolitia’s precision is a great match for both competitive shooting and personal defense.

The barrel is armored by a 5-inch tri-top cut slide and PVD coated in black with prominent Demolitia engraving on the left side. Front and rear serrations provide a positive grip for manipulating an action that already feels like a hot knife through a stick of butter. Of course, the slide is delivered optics-ready with a serrated and blacked-out rear notch sight and green fiber optic up front.

Below The Surface

The Demolitia grip is reinforced and molded from a WATCHTOWER proprietary formula of Kevlar and carbon fiber materials enforcing a tradition of strength and durability. Taking its job seriously, the grip texture is designed to work with you, clutching back at the palm of your hand. Finishing it off with a touch of exclusivity is the iconic Demolition Ranch Eagle logo engraved on one side with the emblematic Watchtower castle on the other, symbolizing the collaboration.

The finely machined steel frame features a full-length dust cover and Picatinny accessory rail for mounting lights and lasers. As with the barrel, the user-adjustable skeletonized trigger, ambidextrous safety, slide catch, magazine release, hammer and flared magwell are all gold PVD-coated, accents that provide durable, corrosion-resistant functionality mixed with a solid air of style while.

  1. Watchtower.
Is that a religious magazine or a song by Jimi Hendrix?
1911 in 9mm just dont sound right. Probably be a better idea to make a HiPower if a gun company wants to go that route.
After all your going to need everyone of those higher capacity magazines with the wonderful two shot wonder9.

    • 9mm Buffalo Bore +P JHP is very effective, and the additional rounds (compared to a mag with .45 ACP) may avoid the need to change out the mag during a firefight.

TEHO, and as I stated above to jwm, I have both. Prefer the 9mm, but also love the classic .45.

    • In general, 2011s are easier to make run in 9mm, .38 super/supercomp, and .40. For them, .45 is generally a PITA to get running and keep running. Kind of like single stack 1911s in .40 are kind of a pain.

    • Sorta reminds me of a jacked up jeep I recently saw – lifted, big tires and shiny rims, winch and every doodad they make for a Grand Cherokee. In place of where jeep puts a ” trail rated” emblem on the fenders, this one said “Mall Rated “… had to laugh, as he was parked frontwheels up on the curb – probably the furthest “off road” it ever gets.

      • … rant supposedly over, Unicorn shuffles across the parking lot, opens the hood of his clapped out pickup, and with screwdriver in hand jumps the solenoid to start the engine. He then gets in,wires the door shut again, and sullenly drives home to his breakfast of eggs and vodka that he just purchased.

        • SUVs are very popular because they make women feel adventurous. Notice how many young girls are driving Wranglers. Most are posers that will never need serious off road capability.

Eggs are pretty much the perfect protein. Remember when cereal was promoted over eggs for breakfast because of cholesterol? The people that listened to that are now diabetic.

  2. Imagine trying to explain to your grandson what Demolitia is, and why you bought that fugly gun, when you pass it along to him.

  3. I’ve got absolutely ZERO use for a $5000 1911

    Zero.

I’ve got a double stack 1911 in 45, and I paid $650 for it, then spent another 300 to customize it the way I wanted it.

    To reiterate, ZERO.
If I can’t fight with it, or train with it, I don’t need it; and I can fight and train just as well with a 500 dollar gun as I can with a 5k gun, and if I couldn’t, it would be MY fault.

  4. Truly, my Demolitia came in and as per the YouTube critique, it has major problems. Watchtower may try simple patch fixes, but my guess is the slide will have to be replaced as it has major design flaws. And NO, the barrel lugs are fine, the problem is in the slide.
