Mounties made a major weapons haul after stopping a car for speeding on the Trans Canada Highway. A search turned up a sawed-off shotgun, three shotguns and a large quantity of ammunition, a bulletproof vest, a baseball bat, an axe handle, knives, bear spray and a radio-jamming device designed to block outgoing transmissions. The four men arrested are associates of the Hells Angels, said Salmon Arm RCMP.
Major weapons haul? Puh-lease! You could have found more than that in the back of my pickup truck any weekend of the 1980's.Throw in 60 or so empty beer cans and several comatose bodies and you have the aftermath of my 19th b-day party. Seriously, someone should call out the cops and media for all the "major weapons haul" and "armed compound" talk. Half the time the weapons are trash and the compound barely more than a trailer park. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just saying.
