Yeah, that’s a skateboard. It’s called the Santa Cruz Cruzer. Not that any unintended hijinks would ensue if you actually walked down the Santa Cruz pier carrying one. No, none at all. According to the specs, the board is, yes, 7.62 inches wide. Curiously, though, it’s only 32.8 inches long. Would 6.2 inches more have been too much, brah?   [h/t everydaynodaysoff.com]

  1. You can blame legendary skater Jason Jesse on this one. And if you don’t skate now you never did ….. Just sayin

  2. I can see the headlines already. “Police officer kills youth armed with skateboard gun”. Imagine it’s dusk, and Scotty Skater is hoofing it home with his board under his arm, and Granny Goodbody looking out the window with her cataract eyes, sees Scotty and call the cops telling them there is a gun toting teen in the ‘hood. Yeah, I realize that the artistic depiction is protected under the 1st amendment, etc, but I sure wouldn’t let my kid have one of these. (Those pesky amendments do not apply to youngen’s living under my roof unless they are paying the mortgage and food bill, and fat chance there).

    • It’s funny how the 1st Amendment protects the skateboard, but the 2nd Amendment doesn’t protect what it represents – at least in CA.

    • Since “drop guns” are such a bother, and the whole “I thought his cell phone/PDA/comb was a gun” is so played out, LEOs can just carry a bunch of these boards in the trunks of their cruisers. Shoot a kid, drop a board, get a commendation.

  3. I have an AK-47 that looks exactly like a skateboard. It’s very convenient because I can ride it to the range.
