At least ten people were shot Saturday night in downtown Indianapolis last night. The gang-related gun fire broke out during the city’s Black Expo’s Summer Celebration. So why didn’t the AP make ANY mention of this event’s name? Reverse racism? Perhaps they didn’t want to offend mainstream advertisers. No matter how you parse it, the AP’s sin of omission is a sad statement about its editorial integrity. And, in a vague way, Indiana’s gun crime problem.
