  1. I’m surprised that we’ve gone this far in the comment thread without an observation about the reporterette’s guns. Now that the ice has been broken. . .

  2. If I had the money, I’d be very likely to give an M4gery of some sort in 300 BLK a loving home, but alas, it’s not to be this holiday season.

  3. It has been interesting and encouraging to watch the change in local news coverage of gun ownership in the last 30 years. Back in the dark ages of the 1970s, this news piece would have featured a concerned and outraged reporter decrying the whole idea of making guns seem attractive. Now they have a female reporter who actually fired a handgun, on camera, and the tone of the coverage was mildly amused and even a tad approving. They didn’t even get an outraged comment from the Brady Coalition to Disarm Americans!

As an old fart CEFE (charmingly eccentric firearms enthusiast), I am highly encouraged by this level of acceptance of individual firearms ownership. If you want more good news, go to the St. Petersburg Times (www.tampabay.com) on Dec.11, 2011, and look for a story titled “Dramatic shift in US attitudes behind gun acquisition”. The Gallup poll results must have the anti-gun groups frothing at the mouth. All of their years of “guns are evil” propaganda have failed.

    • I agree that it’s an amazing ad. What made me really facepalm, though, was the gun owner with the 5.11 hat. I wouldn’t mind if it said he was an employee of the store, but my God, too much mallninja.
Edit: Jesus Christ, I just noticed the Krav Maga shirt.
