“A tiny, rare French ring gun named Le Petit Protector is up for auction and is expected to sell for more than $2,000 on March 18,” the Lip TV reports. “The 19th century pistol is no bigger than a fingernail and is believed to be one of the world’s smallest guns.” Wait. $2k? That seems a bit pessimistic. And “one” of the world’s smallest guns? What about all those .9mm semis the media keeps telling us about? But — it could kill people! Both news babes are worried about getting shot by the LPP? Seriously?

  1. gee, it must have so little power that you could stop the bullet with your hand (and maybe your skin would be broken)

  2. Wow. Interesting. It doesn’t look at all safe though. Muzzle discipline would be a nightmare. Is your finger considered off the trigger when the whole gun goes around your finger? This thing just sounds like a gun safety nightmare. That being said… I would love to have it.

    • Anything can be lethal. All you have to do is cut away the rib cage with a saw and shoot someone in the heart with the gun.

    • Yup, she probably does–but she still wants the ring. It is bad enough to excite her. You can just tell.

      • Give me 2 months and I’d have both of them as gun nuts. Ehh, I’d probably have both of them anyway.

  3. “Can pierce a tin can”!

Well, so can my BB rifle. With only a few pumps. Completely through.

    The horrors!

  4. The jewler will have fun inscribing “you can have my gun when your can pry it from my cold dead middle finger” on this one

  5. Anybody else remember the pre-1968 revolvers sold for something like $6.95 through magazine ads?
What were they, .12 caliber, .14 caliber? I figured that if the gun outlasted the supply of ammo you bought with it, you were going to be SOL on finding more rimfire ammo at the local gun shop.

    • Yes, I do remeber those. If memorey is right I got them from mail order catalog or popular science mag.

  6. That ring gun thing is utterly stupid. The freeze-frame above looks like a cylinder for a tiny revolver. As it turns out, that freeze-frame shows six tiny barrels that are all a tiny fraction of an inch longer than the cartridges themselves … which means muzzle velocity of the tiny bullets will be something like 300 fps.

It doesn’t even match BB gun ballistics. What a worthless design.

    • “It doesn’t even match BB gun ballistics. What a worthless design.”

      Hardly.

It’ll put your eye out, kid…

  7. To fully appreciate this video it must be viewed in full screen HD with the volume turned off and swanky music in the background.

  8. Years ago I read a story about the last Tsar of Russia and his family. His son had health issues. The tsar had a one off half scale mosin nagant 1891 made for the boy. Complete with half scale ammo.

If that is true then finding this rifle would bring more than the 2 grand for a french oddity.

  9. Priceless work of art, jewelry, but still a gun…
Because when something is a gun that alters every other attribute?

  10. Lip TV. I’d say that’s a good name for it.
The blonde was getting close to orgasim talking about it

  11. Looks like you’d be better off punching someone with that monster-ass ring than slowly flinging teeny tiny bits of lead from it.

  12. Anyone else get the urge to slap the $h!t out of the brunet after she gets all snide about the fact that someone could be carrying a gun in her presence unbeknownst to her majesty?

  13. Some of you people are way too sensitive. Lighten up Francis. I mean, who else would do a report on this thing? Jerry Michiluk (sp)? Of course it would be two young ladies on LIP tv, whatever the hell that is…
